All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I don't think my latest client is actually a person. I think "she" is an AI conducting experiments on humanity, trying to see how much incoherence a person can take before she (in this case, me) loses her mind.

Call her and repeatedly hit 6 on a touchtone (I don't think there are rotaries left!) phone. Maybe it will reboot her.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think "she" is an AI conducting experiments on humanity, trying to see how much incoherence a person can take before she (in this case, me) loses her mind.

Um, sorry. I'm just really overwhelmed! I wish I were making more sense.

Has the kitty reality show been discovered, discussed, and marked appropriately as one of the signs of the quickly coming apocalypse?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Has the kitty reality show been discovered, discussed, and marked appropriately as one of the signs of the quickly coming apocalypse?

That's been mentioned... somewhere.

I think it's more a sign that God loves us very much....

Could someone explain to me why I thought high school would be a nifty idea, rather than the worst possible age to teach?

Often I enjoy it. Today I would rather be explaining why the sky is up and dealing with potty training issues.

Because books.

Come to my house. I've got the perfect kid for you right here...

Because that's where they keep the fun subjects, math-wise.

Buck up, little camper.

Well, yeah. So when there's actual teaching going on, it's definitely the way to go. On the other side of the scale, I'm guessing Fay doesn't have a lot of fights spilling out into the hall with girls yelling "fuck" at each other, and a sinking feeling in her stomach that whatever it was she was supposed to do, she didn't do it and has lost any respect her students had for her.

Er, hypothetically. Can I just go back to grad school now? I liked it there. It was quiet.

I hate to say it, but that's why I bailed out of teaching. And why you are kind of my idol for sticking with it.

I doubt it's your fault, though. This is the class you took over from another sub, right?
