I'm taking bets that if we don't get rain for any significant chunk of the summer here in NE, some jackhole is going to comment on what a terrible drought we're having. Said jackhole is very lucky if I don't punch him in the face at that moment.
A few years back we'd gotten so much rain that trees were uprooting themselves, the ground was too wet to hold the roots.

Not much stranger than the spate of late-50s/early-60s "dead teenager" songs.
"Last Kiss" (yes, the one later covered by Pearl Jam) falls into both categories. Yes, it was remade and became a hit again during the '70s.
