Our power co did this and it was opt-out, too. But for me, paying $40 a month instead of $10 a month in winter and $200 a month in summer (air conditioning!) makes the stupid add-on fee (it's only about $10) worth it.

Also, I got spam this morning from "nerds stuff" and was all excited it would be like Archie McPhee but it was normal boring spam.

Also, my idiot boss handed me a bag from Bruegger's and asked me to put it in my office for her to pick up later, not mentioning that there was a full cup of coffee in it, so of course I just set it down any old how thinking it was bagels and presto, coffee all over my FMLA paperwork.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I went to the doctor and she gave me antibiotics for my boo-boo... and wants me to stop in on Wednesday for a followup. So I've already taken my first dose. She says, incidentally, that I'm doing exactly the right thing, even though it's for such a teeny wound.

Start with hot compresses?

flea, this is a different, I think. Sounds like you are talking about what is called budget billing around here (jsut smoothing out the cost over the whole year.) This is a rate increase that you either you take as a stepped increase over a few years, but have to pay interest on the amount you are deferring as you go along or you pay for up front starting July 1 .

Start with hot compresses?

I'm going with hot and cold. Doesn't seem to be getting worse, but I do enjoy having vision in that eye, so.

Also, we have a plumber here, and YouSendIt is being pissy. Happy Monday.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

The wedding was lovely, even if it ran late. (We left at 11 pm last night and they hadn't cut the cake yet) I've been up since 5 am, so I don't know how I'm staying upright...

Swouncing

I can't think of any other sport that so much of the world is mad for but the US doesn't much care about.

I have to keep reminding myself that your "football" is a completely different game than soccer (which literally translates back from Hebrew to English as "football"), and it's so very confusing. Maybe it's the different name?

I've just read today about a company here that had a big-screen tv put in their conference room, so that the employees could come in and watch the games all together if a game takes place during working hours.
