"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

that's just . .. wrong. I mean, potato salad is a very personal thing, and I'm very picky about it, but making it with sweet potatotes is just crossing a line.

Because books.

Who the hell makes sweet potato salad?

Do you mean it was too sweet, or they actually made it with sweet potatoes? Because, yuck.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

See, I can see making a potato-salad-like dish with sweet potatoes. Cubed sweet potatoes, a bit of oil and vinegar, some herbs -- sounds good. (If it were the kind with mayonaise, then ick, but I don't really like the kind of potato salad where the dressing is all mayo anyway.)

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Sweet potato salad does seem wrong, but I love sweet potatoes. They make pretty good fries (although they don't really crisp well), especially with a spicy/creamy dip.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

What Hil said.

Just substituting sweet potatoes for potatoes sounds like something my MiL would do. Because that would be healthier and tste is not that important.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Due to Hec's influence, I printed out an early Chrissie Hynde photo to go with the one I linked to a couple of days ago. Between them, my stylist should be able to come up with a fab 'do. I'm excited!

Sadly, I couldn't get an appointment until next Friday, and now that I decided to cut my hair, I'm all GET IT OFFA ME and have lost interest in it in its present state.

ETA: I like the Potatos of Sweet, but not in traditional potato salad. Ptui.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I've had a sweet potato salad that was quite tasty. It did not have mayo and wasn't just traditional potato salad with sweet potatoes.

I don't remember what all was in it, but it was kinda tropical with pineapple.

Perkins, what does your hair do when you grow it out? While I've seen it longer than it is now, I don't think I've known you to have it long. Have I?

I lurv sweet potato fries. Are we imagining American (w/ mayo) sweet potato salad or German (w/ vinegar) sweet potato salad?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I've been distracted from freaking out about this evening's haircut by the pressing need to SMITE this woman I'm working for.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Customer: Yes.
Customer service: Okay, go ahead and close all windows.
Customer: My apartment does not have any windows.
