Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm starting to think they put sun and warm weather in the long-range forecast just to make us feel better. I'm wearing stockings for warmth. I hate stockings!!

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Yes, it really can stop with the raining any day now. Angry black clouds outside my window make for a grumpy kat.

All those haircuts yesterday made me remember that I am itching for a new -do. I want long layers, but I am skeerid of stylists with scissors. The last time I went into the salon intentionally to get a new hair cut, I asked for shoulder length and wound up with a chin length bob with bangs. I looked like a Supreme.

I don't want true summer weather until my ac is replaced.

I slept weird and now feel like I bruised all sorts of weird places. I'm not even safe from myself in my own bed!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

While it no doubt makes Hec weep, I'm letting my hair grow, which is part of why it looked like hobbit-y ASS at the F2F. I miss my curls, and I don't get serious curl when it's short. I miss being able to pull it up, and pull it back, and other fun stuff.

But DAMN -- even as fast as my hair grows, it's SO annoying to grow out short hair.

Okay, so if the layers are so short as to fall out of ponytails, how do I keep my hair out of my eyes? Barettes and clips simply don't hold my hair. They slip right out.

First of all you can just say, "make sure the shortest layer is long enough to tuck behind my ears." Also, ask for some advice for your stylist on product. You don't want anything heavy, but even just a little bit of the right hair goop will help keep your hair out of your face.

Or, like Jesse said, tell the stylist that you need the longest layer to be long enough to keep secure in a ponytail.

And, like Hec said, hair goop that's labelled something like "texturizer," is really great for fine hair. My hair is baby-fine, and unless I put goop in it, it is the lankest, flattest, limpest mess.

The amusing part is that texturizing goop is, essentially, just getting your hair "dirty," but that's what gives it volume/texture/thickness.

instead of whipping the cock they flog each other heartily

I've heard about parties like these....

I've heard there are some people here who've BEEN to those parties!

No! Surely not! I'm shocked! SHOCKED, I say!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hmmm, there's "dirty" and then there's applying sterile, clean goop. It's sort of like saying that if you starch your shirt, you're making it dirty, see?

Well, that's basically what I meant. Not actually dirty; just "dirty."

Art Crawl!!!

Hmmm, I really like this cut. . . I wonder if it would suit my face?

My sister-in-law tells me that my niece (who's had very long hair like her entire life) just got a very very New Wave short a-symmetrical cut. I can't wait to see a picture!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Except that you can achieve much the same effect by either using a wax pomade or not washing your hair for a couple of days. Whereas an unwashed shirt will not gradually start to look more starched just by leaving it alone.

Erp. In 7 days, 1341 pieces of spam got through the front door filter but were caught by the secondary one. And I still get roughly 2/hour that make it to my inbox.

And I was wondering why my mail tool was being toolish.
