And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Hmmm, there's "dirty" and then there's applying sterile, clean goop. It's sort of like saying that if you starch your shirt, you're making it dirty, see?

Except that you can achieve much the same effect by either using a wax pomade or not washing your hair for a couple of days. Whereas an unwashed shirt will not gradually start to look more starched just by leaving it alone.

Erp. In 7 days, 1341 pieces of spam got through the front door filter but were caught by the secondary one. And I still get roughly 2/hour that make it to my inbox.

And I was wondering why my mail tool was being toolish.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

There was a bunny in front of my apartment tonight!

Mine, too! (Well, it was last night, but it would have been tonight if I had posted last night!) I even said, "Oh, no, it's...Mr. Bunny!" since I remember that phrase from, IIRC, The Goodies. Luckily, there were no neighbors to hear me pop-culturing.

It seems as if it'll be cooler this weekend around here--the radio forecast said that those nearer the lake might have to wear a jacket by Saturday (low 60s for a high).

Always Anti-fascist!

Putting color in mine has changed the texture. Which is good, but again, I had to *damage* it.

Because books.

Mine's the same way. When it's colored, it's a little thicker. Someone told me the color actually expands the hair shaft, but I don't know if that's true or not.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

It's like erika says: coloring your hair does damage it, no matter how gentle the color is. And that makes the hair shaft kind of rough on the outside, and the cumulative effect of all those strands of hair being somewhat rougher (like a viburnum -- snowball bush -- stem, all scruffy and such) is that your hair *is* a little thicker after being colored.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Tell us about your hair, Corwood.

Lucy will be right over.

Hee. The bunny has probably found a nice garden by now, but there are always squirrels around.

I'm already wearing a sweatshirt, with the temp at 72.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

What can I do with my curly hair?

I don't know. Maybe look gorgeous all the time?

The last time I went into the salon intentionally to get a new hair cut, I asked for shoulder length and wound up with a chin length bob with bangs. I looked like a Supreme.

Supremely attractive!

::checks astrolabe:: So it's haircut day for Dana, Burrell & Mr. Burrell, is that it?

I like Westerns, beer, and fishing.

And Abe. Telling cute baby-stories should work for everybody, right?

(Um, my hair is still long. For the record.)
