"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I also need help picking a new haircut.

You had the perfect haircut in Michigan! I remember that announcement vividly. It's practically a holiday in this house.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Ah, but see, I have a different stylist now, and this one never seems to do that.

But I should try again.

Can't you go to Rio's stylist in NYC?

I'm going to keep pimping the spy girl cut until everybody's tried it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Dana, here's what I mean by angling the hair This is shorter than you want, but you get the idea. (You wouldn't be obliged to wear it over your eyes.)

Actually, Dana, this would be a good picture to take into the stylist.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Hec! Not that I'm planning to cut it soon, but pimp some styles you think would work with my INSANOTHICK and Slightly Wavy hair.

What length? Between jawline and shoulders, or shorter?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

bookmarking, bookmarking.

Okay, so if the layers are so short as to fall out of ponytails, how do I keep my hair out of my eyes? Barettes and clips simply don't hold my hair. They slip right out.

Either. But not shorter than noseline.

how do I keep my hair out of my eyes?

First of all you can just say, "make sure the shortest layer is long enough to tuck behind my ears." Also, ask for some advice for your stylist on product. You don't want anything heavy, but even just a little bit of the right hair goop will help keep your hair out of your face. I'm not talking about a big all-morning styling adventure either - just a little somethin' somethin' you rub up between your fingers and slide along the hair that frames your face.
