Our wings are not tired

Okay, I'll work on that. I'm sure I can get something through my guy at Full Compass. Maybe he'll let me demo some new gear.

How will we get twirly Jilli and belly-dancing smonster otherwise?

Sadly you won't be getting your own swoopygoth this year. House O' Reason isn't going to be attending the F2F.

Demon twins? I say hitch them to the plow and make them work for their living while you go off to play.

So, I've called Great Dane back and let them know we'll take a private room for four hours minimum. That would be $1100. Do people think I should reserve it for more? If we reserve from, say, 7-11pm now, then as time goes on and we see that we've generated enough funds to pay for longer, we can extend it at that point. I had to leave a voicemail, for while the party coordinator is working tonight, it's Friday and I doubt he'll get a chance to call me back tonight. Most likely Monday, I'm thinking. So, I'd kind of like to have an idea of what to commit us to by then. Also, their room contract asks for info such as whether we want an open or limited bar, food, etc. Since all that gets applied to the cost of the room, I'm thinking they won't need that right this instant. However, it's a good question. How much of the cost do we want to slap down on the limited bar? Anyone got some ballpark numbers to work with?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

7-11

How about 8-12?

And I'm sorry if I missed it, but the $1100 includes food and drinks?

Definitely 8 to 12. We never get our butts dressed by 7. They're much too cute (the butts) to be dressed hastily. Undressed, on the other hand...

Yes, it does, Aims.

I need to verify what hours the private rooms are available for. GD is a bar/restaurant and bar close is 2am, here. That doesn't mean the rooms are available that late. I can't find anything in their party policy doc that says anything about that. Anway, if I reserve 8-12 and we have to be out of the room by 12, there's no fudge factor to keep the party going. If I reserve 7-11, and we decide to stay an extra hour because we have the money, it's doable. Also, if another party is scheduled in the room before us, say 6-8,that doesn't give us any slop factor either. I dunno, though. How early do people want prom to start? Does everyone want to do their own thing for dinner and then prom or would folks consider the 4 item pre-order menu for dinner before prom in the same room? I only asked for the party platter menu because every other F2F, folks have gone out on their own. But since it's something that would count toward the cost of the room, it's something we might want to consider.

I think too much. Bottom line, I don't know exactly what information will have to be hard and fast the next time I talk to Tim. I'd rather have more information at hand, than less. Food choices can wait, their documents say so. How much we want to put on the limited bar can wait, too. Timing, however, is less flexible. They'll want numbers right away for booking purposes. For our sake, 8-12 seems to have less flexibility built into it than 7-11.

ETA: Thus, I need your input! Tell me what y'all think.

My only input is that most people showed up at 9 or later at the Proms I've been to. People tend to go out to dinner in big cat-herdy groups, come back, make themselves pretty, and finally show up late. Am I misunderstanding the room limitations? Why couldn't we say 8-12 and then extend to 1 if we wanted to? I doubt they'd close their private rooms before the bar closes, though I suppose it's possible. Ignore me if I am Not Helpful.
