Much fun was had (and the sour borscht was yummy, too)!! I'm trying to convince Maria to add a weekend day if she comes out here this summer (or at least when the weather's nice) so we can do an architectural boat tour on the river/lake. If we do, I hope some other Buffistas can join us!
Heck, even if MFN can't fit us in, maybe we should plan one, anyway. I'll have to see when would work for people and make sure we pick a good-weather day.
I actually did photograph my cabbage soup and Kathy's sour borscht, because I'm kind of a dork.
an architectural boat tour
Just in case you didn't already know this: the best (really the only one that matters) boat tour is the one sponsored by the Chicago Architecture Foundation aboard Chicago's First Lady. And not just because there's a full bar on the boat.
so, does anyone have Nicole's number? Flight's been delayed an hour and a half. Estimated arrival time? 1:30am
Vortex, insent to your profile address.
Thanks! I was kind of kidding, but I'm glad to have it. We have a plane now, so I am cautiously optimistic. And the guy sitting next to me just farted. Ew.
thanks. The guy on the other side is carrying a floral tapestry JORDACHE hanging bag. The 80's are back, people!
Ack! I wished I'd checked this thread earlier.
Vortex, if you wind up stuck at DIA, definitely give me a call. I'm only about 30 minutes from the airport.
plane~ma!
Thanks for the plane~ma and good wishes. I'm finally home at almost 3AM. I'm exhausted, just sent the boss and email telling him that my happy ass will be in late tomorrow.
