May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Just in case you didn't already know this: the best (really the only one that matters) boat tour is the one sponsored by the Chicago Architecture Foundation aboard Chicago's First Lady. And not just because there's a full bar on the boat.

I took that a couple years ago—it really is an amazing tour.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I took one of those tours (it left from the boatslip at the base of the Michigan Avenue bridge--is that the same one you're talking about, Laga?), and had a great time.

The Geoffrey Baer tour shows on WTTW (PBS) had the origination in that tour, IIRC--Baer is a docent with the Architectural Society, and the first of his specials was the boat tour. They've redone that boat tour show in the past few years due to the extensive amount of change that's happened on the river since that first special back in the mid-90s.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

yes, Michigan and Wacker. It's been at least five years since I took the tour but it used to be an annual event for me and my friends.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

HAHAHAHAHAHA.

stabby

My work has decided that we're going to throw a huge solar party on, you guessed it, the 21st of June. My role at work, as many of you know, is Event Planner.

You know, I didn't mind missing F2Fs when I was broke (well, I did, but you know). I never minded missing it because I was in a show. I fucking mind missing it because my day job has decided to give me this project.

(On the other hand, I'm going to make this party the fucking blowout of the season.)

You just have to plan the thing, right? You don't have to attend...

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Yeah, what MM said! Can you delegate the day-of duties to someone else?
