Spike? It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding on to false hope, but…I knew you'd come back. You're like…you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Oh…he's alive Frodo. He's alive.

woo! Staying in DC is closer to drinking, but staying in Chantilly will save your sanity with the traffic.

Also, for dinner saturday, I have Me, Matt, Sparky, Tommyrot and Frank for tapas. Anyone else?

For whiskey, I have me and alieanne?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Me!

For tapas, that is. I really wish I was coming in time for whiskey, but with the new job and all, I was leery of taking too much time off. Should have done it anyway.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hey, if it's not too late, I'd like to get in on the mani/pedi fun.

I will have a car, although I'd prefer to walk to the salon.

I'm probably in for Rocky Horror and *will* be dressing for the occasion.

Would also be interested in the chocolate place.

Can't remember if it's been mentioned... but Little Five Points has several nifty vintage/2ndhand clothing shops ranging from high end to claustrophobic.

ooh, Larry, you rock! Even though I already have a ride.

Hey, tommy, you are most likely on the same plane that changed flight numbers. As I recall, there must be at least 45 minutes for a layover unless the passenger specifically agrees to less.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Vortex, put me in for tapas. Ellen and Bev are on the road, but I'll see if they want to join us when they get here.

Yeah, I haven't gotten around to the whole Little Five Points (there's a Five Points downtown) thing. Little Five Points is where the '60s never died. It starts about three-quarters of a mile from the hotel. There are vintage/kitsch places like Psycho Sisters and Stefans; crystals; Abbadabba's, which sells Birkenstocks and, iirc, Doc Martins; Wax 'n' Fax, a used and new CD and album store; a natural foods co-op; several tatoo and piercing places; two theatre companies; a great music venue; and some good restaurants and bars, including the Vortex, home of great hamburgers and attitude.
