Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

My plan for Thursday and Friday is:
Exchange car w/ friends for 7 passenger van.
Pick up anyone who needs transportation. Please contact me if you need a ride.
Sparky, Brenda, -t, I'll be glad to meet you at MARTA or the airport. Let me know.

ooh, Larry, you rock! Even though I already have a ride.

Hey, tommy, you are most likely on the same plane that changed flight numbers. As I recall, there must be at least 45 minutes for a layover unless the passenger specifically agrees to less.

Vortex, put me in for tapas. Ellen and Bev are on the road, but I'll see if they want to join us when they get here.

Yeah, I haven't gotten around to the whole Little Five Points (there's a Five Points downtown) thing. Little Five Points is where the '60s never died. It starts about three-quarters of a mile from the hotel. There are vintage/kitsch places like Psycho Sisters and Stefans; crystals; Abbadabba's, which sells Birkenstocks and, iirc, Doc Martins; Wax 'n' Fax, a used and new CD and album store; a natural foods co-op; several tatoo and piercing places; two theatre companies; a great music venue; and some good restaurants and bars, including the Vortex, home of great hamburgers and attitude.

Is that a 3/4 of a mile that can be walked to? I know that's an issue around Atlanta, and though I have a car, other than specific errands I'd rather be walking around if I can.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Me for tapas!

I'd do whiskey if I was there in time, but alas, I am not.

Yes, it is. The hotel is between Little Five Points/Inman Park and Virginia Highlands, and both are good walking areas with sidewalks.

Inman Park has old sidewalks that are kind of difficult in the dark or when drinking, but there are good sidewalks to Virginia-Highlands and Little Five Points. (How would I know that?) My only suggestion would be to not turn left on Ponce and walk very far towards downtown after dark, unless you're actually looking for a hooker.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Thanks, Ginger, for expanding on that. Found my old list of places.

edited to be in my order of liking

Stefans Vintage (1160 Euclid Avenue) - high end vintage - got a rhinestone necklace for bellydancing here.

Rag-o-rama (1111 Euclid Avenue NE) - LOVE this place. Like Buffalo Exchange, if you've seen one of those. When I was there in September, I got a leather vest and red fake snakeskin pants for my Halloween costume and 3 skirts for work. Nice, spacious layout and lots of quality stuff.

Junkman's Daughter (464 Moreland Ave NE ) - funky clothes (i.e. Lip Service) and shoes, gag gifts, etc. Kind of overpriced, IMHO.

Psycho Sisters Consignment (428 Moreland Ave.) - packed to the GILLS. Hard to find anything. But a whole lot of fun/wacky going on. This is the place to get a feather boa or platform go go boots for prom.
