"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Maybe she'll *like* handcuffs.

Well, who doesn't?

head explodes

...I'm trying to imagine anyone sweet-talking Deb into wearing handcuffs. And it's just - I - it - no. No. The prospect of Deb being submissive, even for a kink - no. She'd rip their head off, spit down the gaping wound and strut off in her fuck-me(but-don't-fuck-WITH-me) shoes.

Sorry, sorry - the reason I wandered in here was, very belatedly, to say that Mojitos are The Best Thing Ever.

Having never (includign the F2F) had them prior to this week. It is my new OTBeverage. Mmmmmm. And, what's more, one can buy them in the Night Market around the corner from my place, after spending hours wandering through the stalls and buying shiny things. Markets with their own cocktail bars in the foodcourts, full of sexy imported spirits...how fucking good is THAT?

...F2F in Thailand, anyone? Green curry, mojitos, cheap DVDs and the Thai Elvis performing at Radio City? And pingpongball shows and the like, for the more sordidly-inclined?

Anybody got a suggestion about where I should be looking for a hotel in LA? I have to go to Long Beach, Pasadena, and Riverside as well. I'll have a rental car, but what area should I be looking in. I'm tempted to stay at the W, which is in Westwood. Is that a good location?

Fay, it's not Deb, it's Vortex. Stephanie.

Not that you're wrong.

Heh. It's like sleeping with a woman for me -- don't have a problem with the concept, just haven't met anybody that I'd seriously consider doing it with.

You are going to three corners of the area. There really is no good location for you to stay. The W in westwood would be okay for long beach but you have a long drive to both riverside and pasadena. Depending on time of day even Long Beach might be bad. Stay t The Ritz in Pasadena.

Vortex, Westwood isn't really near Pasadena or Long Beach and it'll make you take the 10 to the 110 to Pasadena and the dreaded 405 south to Long Beach -- Westwood is sorta west and north of either of those two places. Riverside is well.... Riverside and far away from everything and traffic-y no matter where you stay. LA traffic is freaky and stupid and unpredictable.

ND is right, the Ritz in Pasadena is probably better and less drive-y
