Not about pitching, about a different kind of face to face: I'm supposedto wave love at Jilli and Pete from Neil Gaiman. We just spent (about six of us total) seven hours in a gorgeous uproarious disreputable carouse and ended up at Scala. When I told him I wanted to wave at him from you two, he said "Ah, now there's two people I love. Wave back."
So, there you go. Love back from Neil. Who is theoretically coming here for dinner on his next Bay Area swingthrough.
Yes, I'm gloating....
vw has it on her list to send out an RFP to the city tourist board on Wednesday. Should have more info soon. As KristinT noted, I've been "uber busy," but am back from my little trip and am trying to get caught up on the things I let slide.
I am impressed that Scola pulled out the Vince Lombardi service area. One of the most memorable rest stops I've ever been in, and not in a good way.
You should have experienced it in the 1970s. If you thought the smell was bad now...
If we're looking at rest areas, Teppy is going to buck for Cheesequake.

It was the 80s, so not too far off. And oh HELL yeah!
Teppy is going to buck for Cheesequake.
So that's what the kids are calling it these days...

head explody
Well, I'm going to be all sorts of beaming today.
Jilli, I only wish I could show you his face when I mentioned you guys. He was in full "on" mode, and I said the magic words, "Pete and Jilli up in Seattle" and his face just went all soft and warm - you know the look I mean?
