He actually heard about the TV blogs going dark! How cool!

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
Huh, I hadn't really thought about the effect on sites like TWoP until now.
You know the thing with How I Met Your Mother and the actors being suspended without pay, but tied to their contracts, and SAG being up in arms? Universal are apparently doing the same thing. Well, they are, as Deadline Hollywood has one of the letters to actors online.
The funny thing, though, is this:
Regarding BSG, NBC Uni's SciFi channel is being told that, since the terms of Article 61 appear to be breached, the actors can terminate their deals and attempt to find work elsewhere.
So if the BSG actors want to find work elsewhere during the strike -- admittedly, I'm not sure there's that much work going around, but still -- they have to leave the show. That's gonna please people.
How the WGA is responsible for global warming, and other stories.
It's truly hilarious...and yet, not intentionally so, apparently.
UH's pencil count is 156,000. They're never gonna need to buy pencils again!
That's a hysterical clip. I have to admit--I worry about the trees cut down for all these pencils.
The emissions thing? Feh. The writers are going to fart whether they're picketing or not.
It'd be okay if she'd just play with the yarn, but she insists upon playing the the hook. And it's difficult to crochet with a cat hanging off of your hook.
Maybe your cat wanted you to do this for her:
(which, even though I'm craftarded, I realize is knitted not crocheted)
craftarded
I want to take this coinage and hug it and call it George.
craftarded
Oh, I LOVE that! Can I borrow it for a piece I'm writing?
And someone was talking about purple baby yarn? I've seen quite a bit, actually. Purple is the main color I've crocheted for the nephew. Maybe I'm not using typical "baby" yarn, but there's really a lot you can use for babies. And I typically use 100% cotton. But, there's also the Debbie Bliss stuff, and I know there's purple with that...a couple shades, actually.
I've seen a lot of purple baby yarn, too, but it's usually a fairly pale purple (not lavendar, just pale purple), and often has a shiny white thread running through it.
Dang, I'm on the computer early for me. I should go back to bed.
This is a nice one by Berroco. I haven't used it, but I almost did. It's got some nice dark shades of purple, though. [link]
