Thanks, Kristen. I felt like an idiot typing that all out. I don't want anyone to feel shitty, and don't know how to phrase it all better.
'Lies My Parents Told Me'
The Minearverse 5: Closer to the Earth, Further from the Ax
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
I think it's a great idea, Allyson. I would definitely throw a little pencil money in there (because I would like to be a part of The Statement and all) if I knew it would indirectly benefit the people who actually need money right now.
I just read it and I think you did fine. I hope that the suggestion is taken in the spirit intended. Maybe it'll turn out like the lunch thing and everyone will go, "That's such a great idea! Thank you for thinking of it!" Because you really do have a great idea here.
Looks like it's got a lot of support.
I think it's great, Allyson. I support the writers, but have been more inclined to spend money on those in greater need. This would allow me to vote with my dollars and feel better about it.
It's a great idea, Allyson. I'll be honest - whilst I chucked $30 pencil at the thing, there was a big part of me which said 'Yeah, that Whedon guy is a millionaire' whilst doing it.
Allyson, you're basically five fantastic feet of great ideas. Which Russell Crowe wishes he'd chosen as a band name.
okay. Removing myself from the crazy, now.
The more I think about it, the more I know that this pencil thing is fucking retarded. And realllllly bad PR.
Backing away. Staying here, in the safety of Buffistas.
Hold me.
Poor Allyson. Stay here. We're sane. Mostly.
I'm not convinced it's that bad an idea, Allyson. Although if it all explodes in peoples faces you get to say told you so.
