[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

It's a great idea, Allyson. I'll be honest - whilst I chucked $30 pencil at the thing, there was a big part of me which said 'Yeah, that Whedon guy is a millionaire' whilst doing it.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Allyson, you're basically five fantastic feet of great ideas. Which Russell Crowe wishes he'd chosen as a band name.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

okay. Removing myself from the crazy, now.

The more I think about it, the more I know that this pencil thing is fucking retarded. And realllllly bad PR.

Backing away. Staying here, in the safety of Buffistas.

Hold me.

Mostly lurking...

Poor Allyson. Stay here. We're sane. Mostly.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

I'm not convinced it's that bad an idea, Allyson. Although if it all explodes in peoples faces you get to say told you so.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

But you don't like being held! I choose to translate that request as "bring me comforting cigs and coffee," which, ftr, I would do.

Fwiw, I think it's a great idea.

Yeah, I was going to reply over there.

Then I got ahold of myself and decided not to engage. People aren't going to listen. But outside of fandom strongholds? I still say: P.R. misstep. Allyson's idea would be key to salvaging it, but it's getting derailed and that is sad-making, to me.

I told Amy I would write The Showrunners Guide to Fan Campaigns for Popgurls.

Because, seriously, yo.

An ad in TVGuide costs 80k. At least, that's how much it cost like four years ago.

And the idea that showrunners don't fart money is making my head spin.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Stay here. We're sane. Mostly.

Or were the same kind of crazy that you are, Allyson.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It would make a nice distinction between millionaire showrunners and the rank-and-file who really need the new contract. It's got to make it harder when the best spokepeople are the ones suffering the least.
