Wash: So, two days in a hospital? That's awful. Don't you just hate doctors? Simon: Hey. Wash: I mean, present company excluded. Jayne: Let's not be excluding people. That'd be rude.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I need to step awaaaay from the internets. Whenever I see a post about how the writers are greedy and shitty people, I get all, "THAT'S MY KRISTEN YOU DOUCHEBAG!" And then i have to choke a bitch.

Hmph.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I was at a wedding last night where the best man was a screenwriter. He made a point of saying he was making his speech up as he went along.

So freaking LA.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ouch. That's some shitty timing. I don't even watch The Shield, and I want this strike to end quickly so he can work on the series finale, just on principle. That really blows.

The soap operas will hit harder. When they go next week or so, that'll piss some people off.

not so much, actually. Days, The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful and As the World Turns have enough scripts to take them through at least january, while Guiding Light could be OK for another month beyond that. One Life to Live, General Hospital and All My Children are also are set through the beginning of the year.

people are actually blaming the writers? WTF??

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

There are some people who are of the opinion that writers are all Very Rich. There was a bit in the press the other day about the average writer earning $200k a year or some such.

$200k a year in LA isn't exactly rolling in the dough though, is it? plus, what Kristin said. i don't see how wanting to get paid for something they created makes them the bad guy in this scenario.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Anyway, if that's the mean, it includes Shonda Rimes and other people who make millions as well as your regular writer-on-the-street.
