Well, those were pretty awesome effects.
I'm surprised they used 'The Starting Line' to submit -- I thought it was fairly weak VFX wise. There's a chase in the second or third episode where the camera flies through cars with glorious abandon which I remember being particularly cool.
It feels like they traditionally submit pilots for some reason. Which is really odd, because those are rarely the best episode. But I guess they're the best episodes to view out of context, since the voters haven't necessarily seen the series at all.

Wait, wasn't that one just Ron Livingston and Henry Thomas having conversations in an apartment and a lake house? I hardly think a CGI bee is worthy of an Emmy nomination.
But with Tim's shows, often the pilot is the only one you get to see (sob).
