You have the emotional maturity of a blueberry scone.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

It's down to what floats yer boat. Which is a sentence I will never use again, I promise.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Not funny because the prose was a bit obvious or not funny because insulting to fans or insulting to NF?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Not funny to me either. Not because of the subject matter--just not written for me.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

There was something about the tone that was off to me. Somewhere around, "Good, you're paying attention. I like that." whatever was going to follow was only going to irritate.

Maybe if it had followed some event. Or the writer had some personal story about his/her interactions with the craxy.

I dunno.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Plus the word "midget" is considered by many to be offensive.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I think maybe not funny because it was funny the first thousand times I've heard it, and now am bored.

Speaking of unfunny, Im going to Wondercon to wander around and try to impress upon people that they should buy my book. I am to be given postcards heralding the arrival of my geniusness.

I expect to be terrible at this.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I expect to be terrible at this.

Isn't Tim going to be there pimping Drive? Isn't that in my neighborhood?

tis. I think this is the first time I'll have seen Tim in yonks.

I miss him. I remember that he's awfully cute.

Oh, then I should definitely email Fraction! And then if he'll be there, you and he and Tim can all meet up and, I dunno, get some kind of group restraining order against me.
