[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

Allyson, if you leave postcards at the Browncoat table they will relentlessly pimp your book for you. You should avail yourself of their fervor. IJS

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm gonna be the doofus basking in the glow of the Drive writer with the parking spot and the actual connection to the show. You can't see me but I'm making a cross eyes and buck teeth face, to illustrate my doofusness.

I have no idea how I ended up with cool friends. I suspect that my mom pays them.

ETA: Thanks, Tamara, James said it would be alright to drop some off awhile back, and I'll see if there's room before making a nuisance of myself!

Also, also, Sars should come out here one day and we can do dueling readings. She can talk about television, and I can talk about people who watch television.

And then we can put it on YouTube and sue ourselves.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Im going to Wondercon to wander around and try to impress upon people that they should buy my book.

Wait, up this way? For reals? Will you have even a scrap of unscheduled time, or will any non-Wondercon time be carefully hoarded in a hermetically-sealed jar labeled FOR TIM ONLY?

Awww. Unfortunately, I'm going up the night before, crashing, going to the thing, and coming right home.

But I'll get up there again soon for a visit iffn I can crash with Miz Perkins.

I only ever expect to see Tim from a afar and get absolutely no hang time at these things.

Well, dang. 'Cause if Wondercon is in one of those big conventiony spaces south of Market, there's a nice old hotel just a couple blocks away with gorgeous afternoon teas and a swankalicious bar with a Maxfield Parrish painting right there over the bartenders' heads.

Probably just two-three blocks away. IJS.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Kevin! I missed the hoopla. Can you send it to me too? Thanks.

I'm even later to the party, but if Kevin would be so kind, I would greatly appreciate it.

Yeah, didn't find the open letter very funny. Mostly the phrasing, but also the reality that NF's pretty well-aware of how crazy some of his fans are. Thankfully he hasn't let it ruin things for the sane ones yet.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

So the cast of tv's hit Drive were at the California Speedway this weekend for the NASCAR race. And apparently on the pre-race show (which I missed because I was breakfasting with the niecelet before the zoom) as well.

My dad however saw it and was telling me about this new show that was coming out.

My worlds, they have collided.

That's awesome. I was wondering how seriously they were going to court the NASACAR audience, and here we go.

Oh, it was beer and roses. Quite the courting going on there.

And, my bitterness at Fox notwithstanding, they are promoting the hell out of this show to race fans. I see the promos everywhere. It's ... strange and refreshing.
