Not funny because the prose was a bit obvious or not funny because insulting to fans or insulting to NF?
Not funny to me either. Not because of the subject matter--just not written for me.
There was something about the tone that was off to me. Somewhere around, "Good, you're paying attention. I like that." whatever was going to follow was only going to irritate.
Maybe if it had followed some event. Or the writer had some personal story about his/her interactions with the craxy.
I dunno.
Plus the word "midget" is considered by many to be offensive.
