use of frak or gorram...I have to shake my head and turn away.
I bet if the right guy used them you'd at least hesitate before turning away...

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

ita knows me so well. but I'd still shake my head.
eta - ita, did you get things from me last week?
I have no things! I feel bereft.
While it's being asked, msbelle, did you get a card from me either right before you left or when you got back?
Lee, yes I am pretty sure - before I left - monkey? right? - Thanks , sorry I didn;t mention it.
Well, crap ita, let me check my addresses.
right, monkey, and no worries, of course. It's not like you didn't have a few thousand (OMGSOGREAT) things on your mind.
ita? IM por favor.
Topic!Cindy - Josh Whedon!
Right, but you can hear the difference between Josh Whedon and Joss Whedon, if you listen. And maybe that's my point you see. I'm going to over explain though, because it's my gift, and my daughter's finishing up her homework (EXTRA LATE) which is delaying the bedtime of all three kids, and it's re-run season.
Damn, is pronounced dam, which I only mention, because gorram(n) is a corruption of goddamn.
(In other words, the N isn't audible, is it?)
Truth to tell, I'm not all that fond of the folksy talk even when used by the actor in question outside his role, and I think he's at least put in enough time using it that it's almost a picked-up regional accent instead of an affectation.
I don't think I liked gorram(n) when the show was on the air, but there was so little of the poor show, the slanguage never twigs me, now.
I know how much you love Firefly fans.
Well, it's less the show than the fannishness, to be ever-so-slightly-fair. At this point I hate Farscape fans much more, and I actually liked that show.
If they use words like "gorram" on your boards, immediately ban.I should ask Glark if he can still do those auto-replace things. And set it so "Gorram," "frakking," and "frelling" would all be replaced with "marvelous."
I will take a short break from making it All About Me and say: speaking of sending things to ita... hey, do optical-illusion-y things trigger your migraines? Or trigger anything else unpleasant, for that matter? 'Cause there was a cute thing, but it was kinda eye-bendy, so I wavered.
And now back to How Tim Makes My Life So Hard, AKA "Strega whines about everything."
This is a good topic. I encourage everyone to play.

No, they do not. As long as they don't move and make noise, that is.
Cool.
