[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Really? I don't think that's how it's ever sounded. And the m sound at the end makes more sense given the goddamn parallel.

They stole the gorramn medicine? -- Train job shooting script

Nobody gets it right. Ever. Not that it bothers me, or anything *twitches*

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

seriously?

use of frak or gorram...I have to shake my head and turn away.

What is even happening?

A script is not readily accessible information. Generally, whoever posts a script (shooting script) has to do so on the sly. Gorram/gorramn is made up, to boot. It's not like the spelling of an actor's name (Clare Kramer).

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'd rather see use frak or frell in discussions than random strewing of fucks. Not because I don't say fuck a lot, but I'd rather know my company when I do.

But then I've no dog in this fight. Someone will always do something that grates someone else the wrong way and vice versa. So long as it's not demony, we get along well enough.

Aah, I see. Interesting.

Nobody gets it right. Ever.

Well, most people never saw the script. I think the damage is irreversible, though...hasn't Joss himself used "gorram" in his posts? I've never, ever seen "gorramn" before.

Okay, I see your point.

In actual fairness, I don't mind those kind of phrases in the context of Firefly talk. 'cause, you know, people use Buffy phrases in Buffy context a lot. Firefly wasn't on the air long, so it didn't get that many phrases (and Jayne hats... oh lord... They need to shoot more episodes so people forget about them).

Around the time of SERENITY's release, I saw a lot of comments along the lines of the movie poster should have been something like 'It's the gorram shiniest ship in the 'verse'. Which didn't work for me.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Truth to tell, I'm not all that fond of the folksy talk even when used by the actor in question outside his role, and I think he's at least put in enough time using it that it's almost a picked-up regional accent instead of an affectation.

Er. Yeah, that doesn't work work for me. Of course, neither does "Prepare for the ultimate action adventure" on the DVD.
