Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

But when it's time to sleep? I want my space, so I can toss and turn and not have to worry about if I'm bothering you, or worry about where my arm goes, or think "Well, this is *almost* comfortable...".

It ruins the cuddly closeness when I'm lying there thinking, "Shit. My arm is numb. Man, that's annoying. Hmm....can I pull it away without him thinking I'm rejecting him? Will saying 'My arm is numb' ruin the mood? Okay, *seriously* now. Numb. Numb numb numb. Arrrrggghhh!"

What is even happening?

Oh, askye. Strength to your co-worker, her mom and whole family.

Teppy, thanks for the I-miss-Oz love in Natter, yesterday. I saw it this morning. You know how sometimes you (and by "you" I mean "me" and possibly "some people") get a feeling of being a complete persona non grata? I was drowning in that yesterday, and your little post made all the difference, this morning.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

"Dude, quit breathing on me."
"Quit breathing?"
"You can breathe, just not ON me!"

Thanks, Amy. I didn't mean to fish (not that I think you were giving pavlovian love or anything). It was just one of those days. I have them a lot more than I talk about them. I suspect a lot of us do.

Cindy, I *think* Buffy-related quotes all day long. But they stay in my head. *You* say (or type) them, and I recognize them immediately, and then I think "She does the same thing I do! Only 'out loud'!"

Which is one of the many reasons that I t heart you.

ION, I am geeking out - my boss isn't in his office today, so I turned his flatscreen to face my cube, put on ESPN2 (World Cup), and I'm constantly refreshing the minute-by-minute match blog on the Guardian site. Not quite as good as being in my neighborhood, watching the matches in one of the Italian bars/restaurants, but fun naetheless. (If Italy gets to the finals, I'm taking that morning off and staying in my neighborhood. It'll be fun.)
