Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Connor/Wes?

SO not freaked out by that. SO could totally read/write that.

Although it's Lindsey/Connor that I find more compelling - Connor is like the physical incarnation of all Lindsey's Angel AND Darla issues. Hot, cute, powerful, screwed up all to hell and could totally break Lindsey into a million tiny pieces. And Lindsey's not much older than Cordelia, after all.

Um.

Where were we?

A man's got to draw the line somewhere !

Fair enough. I wouldn't try to push you to wearing lipgloss. Although it might be worth considering the fact that lipgloss makes your mouth taste good.

considers

There are worse chatup lines than 'Man, this chocolate orange lipgloss tastes FANTASTIC'.

What is even happening?

Cindy - I didn't take your remark as bab!mom stuff. I wish it would work for him to be home - cause unstructured time is fantastic and less expensive.

No, Suzi, but you were calling yourself a bad mom, and you're so not, and you can't talk that way about my friend Suzi or I'ma open a can of whup ass on ya.

Man, it was. And the stupid story had such a GOOD first 500 or so words.

I thought it was, but then I thought, "Who would write Connor/Wes? Nah, it's gotta be someone else."

We had really great conversations in that thread (and the Spoilers thread). I love VM nearly as much as I love Buffy, and I'm no longer ashamed to say that the U.S. version of The Office is right up there, too. But there's something about fantasy that allows a particular sort of thematic discussion, and they're not coming to me where VM is concerned even though noir, in theory, should provide the same sort of meat (and the meat isn't there in The Office, because regardless of how good it is, and how OTP ^∞ Jim/mePam are).

I miss my shows. I miss my Buffy. I miss the Hairloaf. Right now, I nearly miss Cordy in her Muahahahaha phase.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Hey Kristin - sorry I missed seeing your mom again and for the flakiness on Saturday. Em's been sick and crankified and I was so exhausted Saturday, I fell asleep on the couch almost as soon as Em fell asleep in her room.

Was their visit fun?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Is anyone here familiar with Ashford University, or, more specifically, their online degree program. I am thinking of attending it. My psychologist thinks an online program would be better for me, because I wouldn't have to deal with the physical exhaustion of getting around a college campus, which is a large part of my problem with school. Here is their website.

I've not heard of them sj, but UoP is great, if you're seriously thinking of online programs. I love it, Suzi (I think) loves it, and there's one other Buffista (though I am a bad Empress and can't remember who) who went through it as well.

UoP doesn't have the program I want, unfortunately, and actually this school is cheaper, which is a plus.

Ah.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

UoP is not cheap, that is for sure. And yes, I love it - though I have my moments (such as having a paper due today that I haven't started on). The number of programs available seems to grow each time I check - so who knows.

I love finding my own typos way after the fact. A bab!mom. Hmmmm. Interesting.

I don't feel like a bad mom, though I do feel as though CJ has been having to take the back seat to all the running around we are doing for K-Bug right now. I'm trying hard to make sure he is not feeling left out/left behind.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Good lord, I think Fay just broke me. I'm sure Christian Kane's voice in my headphones didn't help, either.

Morning, y'all!! Had to skip. Long weekend, involving a Mustang convertible, crazy-ass people, a cowboy hat, and getting to meet the incomparably beautiful Lilli-bean for the first time (AND getting to see her loverly parents and Pete). Also, whisky (once I got home). Hugs, hairpats, YAY!s, as appropriate.

Alsoalso, the Czech Republic is SPANKING the US football team. SPANKING.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So, we've got another playoff game tonight. We're playing the only other undefeated team, The Rockies, which for maximum dramatic effect is the team composed of half my team from last year, and also the team that gave us our most painful loss (17 runs to come from behind in the last inning).

If we win, we go directly to the championships where we'd have to lose twice in a row to keep from winning the trophy. If we lose...we're back in the pack and have more games.

Playoff rules are different and I don't like it as much. We're basically riding Reed's coattails at this point, and it feels like much less of a team effort. Reed goes out and throws three unhittable innings and that's a huge advantage. And we've been seduced into letting him roam pretty far into the outfield from shortstop to make a lot of catches because - he's just that good. He's barely ten, but he could be playing for some JV teams.

Also in the playoffs you don't have to play everybody equally so our less-good players are playing less. They have to play some, but it's not the equal distribution of the regular season.

::sigh::

It's making the winning less fun.

Oh well, it's over after this week. Then Emmett's just playing with the Tournament team, which I think he actually enjoys better.
