Nobindalease.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Mmm. Food.
I say, having not had breakfast. I have had coffee, however.
Having two parents working totally hoses summers. I worry about Lillian's potential unstructured free time. My in-laws work, and my parents are pushing 70, so hanging out with the grandparents isn't like to happen.
Then again, I had lots of said unstructured free time, and look how I turned out.
Eh, it's a no-win sitch, this parenting gig. You do what you can, the best you can, and that's really all you can do.
Re: fic, I'm still scarred over the wrong-like-a-wrong-thing, but oh-so-hot Joyce-Holland-Snyder thing Plei wrote. Um.
Mwahahahaha!
Ahem.
Yes.
It's good to leave a legacy.
You know, I was going to meara, but Raq's hair continues to kill me ded.
In conclusion, Raq still hot like burning.
Joyce/Holland/Snyder, Plei? Ha!
Yesterday, I was trying to see if any of my Buffista bookmarks were worth keeping. I'd marked a bunch of stuff from the old Angel thread, around the series finale time, so I started re-reading all the finale-based conversation. Someone was mentioning a pairing that squicked them, and you agreed, with a comment something like, "I tried, but I couldn't do it either, and everyone knows I'm broken." I actually laughed out loud.
It might have been Connor/Wes, but whatever pairing was, it did not squick Dana, and she was quite proud.
Cindy - I didn't take your remark as bab!mom stuff. I wish it would work for him to be home - cause unstructured time is fantastic and less expensive.
Reality, beyond the mom stuff, is that we don't have kids his age in the neighborhood, his best buddy is going to be gone most of the summer, and he REALLY needs to burn off his energy. If he is home, he will be glued to the computer and still bouncy. Not good.
Summer vacation is 10.5 weeks and the summer park program runs for 8.5 weeks. One of those weeks is the trip to Utah, that CJ might go on with Dad and Sis, if they drive. Another week is the Seattle trip - same deal, but I'd be going on that one too. So, I will probably sign him up for 6 weeks of park stuff - and he will still get 4.5 weeks of other stuff.
It might have been Connor/Wes, but whatever pairing was, it did not squick Dana, and she was quite proud.
Man, it was. And the stupid story had such a GOOD first 500 or so words.
Sigh.
Raq makes me drool in a non-hungry way. Wow.
{{{{sj}}}} I'm so sorry. I know how difficult today is going to be for you. Just remember that you have all of us (not to mention an incredible guy to come home to every day).
NO MORE UTI'S FOR BITCHES! I so decree.
Thanks for all the congrats, everyone! I just had a farewell breakfast with my mom and her friend--they fly out at noon. I still need to take a shower, go into work, and get my grades entered before noon. It's 10 already. I should probably get on that, huh.
Fay, the tall ships make me yearn. There's no other word for it. I grew up on the coast of New England and have been on many tall ships (my aunt even sails them from time to time), and I've always wanted to go on a trip on one.
I lived right near and was a member of Mystic Seaport, a living history museum replete with tall ships. (Check out the map--it's a full whaling village--an outdoor museum with actors etc.). It's where the replica of the Amistad was built--authentically--by master craftsmen. One of my favorite ships at the Seaport is the Charles W. Morgan, an old whaling ship. It's amazing.
If I were still on the East Coast, I would so be pimping Mystic for the next F2F.
Connor/Wes?
SO not freaked out by that. SO could totally read/write that.
Although it's Lindsey/Connor that I find more compelling - Connor is like the physical incarnation of all Lindsey's Angel AND Darla issues. Hot, cute, powerful, screwed up all to hell and could totally break Lindsey into a million tiny pieces. And Lindsey's not much older than Cordelia, after all.
Um.
Where were we?
A man's got to draw the line somewhere !
Fair enough. I wouldn't try to push you to wearing lipgloss. Although it might be worth considering the fact that lipgloss makes your mouth taste good.
considers
There are worse chatup lines than 'Man, this chocolate orange lipgloss tastes FANTASTIC'.
Cindy - I didn't take your remark as bab!mom stuff. I wish it would work for him to be home - cause unstructured time is fantastic and less expensive.
No, Suzi, but you were calling yourself a bad mom, and you're so not, and you can't talk that way about my friend Suzi or I'ma open a can of whup ass on ya.
Man, it was. And the stupid story had such a GOOD first 500 or so words.
I thought it was, but then I thought, "Who would write Connor/Wes? Nah, it's gotta be someone else."
We had really great conversations in that thread (and the Spoilers thread). I love VM nearly as much as I love Buffy, and I'm no longer ashamed to say that the U.S. version of
The Office
is right up there, too. But there's something about fantasy that allows a particular sort of thematic discussion, and they're not coming to me where VM is concerned even though noir, in theory, should provide the same sort of meat (and the meat isn't there in The Office, because regardless of how good it is, and how OTP ^∞ Jim/mePam are).
I miss my shows. I miss my Buffy. I miss the Hairloaf. Right now, I nearly miss Cordy in her Muahahahaha phase.
Hey Kristin - sorry I missed seeing your mom again and for the flakiness on Saturday. Em's been sick and crankified and I was so exhausted Saturday, I fell asleep on the couch almost as soon as Em fell asleep in her room.
Was their visit fun?
Is anyone here familiar with Ashford University, or, more specifically, their online degree program. I am thinking of attending it. My psychologist thinks an online program would be better for me, because I wouldn't have to deal with the physical exhaustion of getting around a college campus, which is a large part of my problem with school. Here is their website.
