Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What's it look like (you can just tell what you bought for yourself)? I didn't buy anything, although I wanted to do so. We stopped in an open house on our way to the park -- a little 3 bd/2 bath offered at $899K. ::keels over and dies from stickershock::

I suck at describing jewelry. I'll just have to show you, but it's all Asian inspired-- I bought it all at the same place. I bought a red and black fan shaped pin (I needed it to dress up an ebay dress); a pair of pink button earrings with red and gold flower design on them, and a pair of silver earrings with a red and black overlay.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Looking like San Francisco. Or, well, Oakland. I think. I guess. Unless something happens.

Yay! Here's how I decided to move to San Francisco: "Oh shit, my car is dying. I can't afford to live in LA anymore. Where's the nearest city with decent public transit? San Francisco? Huh. I know some people there. Could be fun. Who couldn't have fun in San Francisco? I'll try it out for a few years and see what I think." 20 years later...

I'll just have to show you

Excellent plan.

I just made a reservation for me and my DH to use a B&B gift certificate we had for a place in Calistoga in a couple of weeks, for our anniversary. Yahoo!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Portland... Portland... Portland...

(nothing to see here... pay no attention to the hidden subliminal messages.)

This is exactly the choice I would have made 15 years ago. Ten years ago even. Property values were the deciding swing in my vote when I moved to Portland. I adore the Bay Area's public transportation.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Buffistas are good for the ego. I went. I had a fairly good time, mostly sitting on a couch in the corner. I would have told the body image demons to shut up a lot earlier if I had realized that it was going to be so dark in the place that you couldn't really see anyone. There will be more pictures (mainly of the band's performance) sometime tomorrow.

Yay, Emily on making a decision on where to move!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

sj, I'm glad you had a (fairly) good time.

Yay, Emily, for making decisions! SF is lovely.

In mememe news, I have Cramps O'Doom. I'm going to go take some painkillers and take a bath. I hope to fall asleep quickly after last night's non-sleeping debacle. I think I finally fell asleep around 6 and got up at 11.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Ugh, ChiKat. May the Sandman find you and drop a whole bag of sand on you. Ya know, if that's what it takes.

ETA: I'm sure you stood out as a beacon of beauty, sj, even in the dim lighting. I, for one, think you are gorgeous and will go toe to toe with any BID that dares say otherwise. Bring it on, dude!

Is anyone awake who has access to excel and could do me a quick favor?

Nebber mind, I figured it out.
