Looking like San Francisco. Or, well, Oakland. I think. I guess. Unless something happens.

Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
HA! I was totally going to say Bay Area.
Wicked cool!
Very cool!
But it's OK, we won't hold you to it.
It's just so hard to make a decision! I even drew up a list of pros and cons, with how many people I knew in each place and how much money I would make and traffic and things like that, but... well, let's be honest. That's not how I make decisions. I'm happier with stupid reasons, like having a crush on someone living in that city, or it having been in a story I really like, or a restaurant I want to go to. Something ridiculous like that. But no, all I had was rational reasons. Er, and San Francisco didn't really come out ahead in any of them. Still, it had enough little things going for it and fewer big bad things (like, "I know two people there" or "HOT") than any of the others.
(like, "I know two people there" or "HOT")
What about "I know two people there who are HOT"?
I'd have to go with the more emotional reasons like where you can picture living with ease. Picture yourself grocery shopping. Relaxing with friends. Every place is going to have pros and cons you didn't even consider prior to moving. You will be employed anywhere, each place will have the good and bad in weather and traffic. Go with your gut.
Go with your gut.
See, that's the whole problem. I've been trying for two months to get my gut to comment one way or the other, and it's irritatingly noncommital on the subject.
Hey Sunil, KB is on the Tony award show...
silly nonconclusive gut
and she's gone. Just handed out an award. She was verra pretty in her dress up clothes.

"Well, I've been thinking with my gut since I was 14, and frankly speaking, I've come to the conclusion that my guts have shit for brains."
Hey Sunil, KB is on the Tony award show...
Oh yeah, that's tonight. I'm working. Surely there will be a downloadable clip tomorrow.
Yay for the Bay area, Emily! Even more reason for me to go visit as often as I can.
I had an interesting encounter at breakfast today. My dad and I went to one of the local breakfast haunts and he started asking questions about roller derby. As I was explaining them, I heard a voice from a table nearby say "You could play roller derby!" The three girls at the table said they played and I asked them which team. Quad Squad! It was Princess Die, Vanna Whitetrash and Lizzie Borden. I would have never recognized them without their uniforms. It suprising what lies under the uniform and the butch "kill now" attitude. I complimented them on their win last night and they complimented me on my understanding of the rules! Hee. Nice kids.
