Um, it's 8:30 pm here. On June 10th.
June 10th is my and R's 15th wedding anniversary.
Yeah.
We just looked at each other and laughed. R said "Did you get me the same thing I got you?" To which I replied, "I sure hope so."
'Serenity'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You got him a chain for his watch, and he got you some fancy combs?
And P-C figures out why I got my hair cut yesterday.
Happy Anniversary, Raq and Raq's DH!!!
Speaking of sleep, Tom and I split one of his new anti-anxiety drugs, Ativan, last night and went to sleep.
Ah, Ativan. Such a nice drug.
if Teppy stops by, or anyone who has Ativan knowledge, any thoughts on the drug? It's to apply to anxiety as needed. a half dose knocked us both out last night (though we were pretty exhausted to begin with) so I don't know if Tom can take a dose and then drive, or what. I guess we'll play it safe until we get a better feel for how it affects him.
Honestly, any drug that affects the brain/CNS is going to act differently in different people (well, that's probably true of all drugs, to one degree or another), so if I tell you that I could take an Ativan and drive, it won't help you.
I'd say Tom should take one (or half) today or tomorrow -- i.e., a weekend day when he doesn't have to drive or go to work, etc. -- and see how it affects him.
ION, it is POURING down rain here. I think I shall do the only sane thing one can do in the face of all this rain -- paint my nails and watch Bull Durham. (What? Sink full of dishes? Huh? La la la la la, I can't hearrrrrr youuuuuuu....)
Note To Self:
Reading the opposing views on teaching birth control in public schools makes me want to poke my eyes out from frustration. However, if you thought doing homework while sleeping was hard, try it with no eyes. I mean, look what happened to Jocasta.
Um, wow. >[link] I think I just threw up in my mouth. You know, excess can do that to me from time to time, but the idea of giving a rich baby a $17,000.00 binky, when there are dying of hunger all over the world is giving me an insta-headache, and now I see people here have already gone there with the Pitt-Jolie baby, so never mind.Nora, my mother occasionally takes Ativan. Her blood pressure issues are closely tied to her getting nervous and upset. Anyhow, she can drive on it, but it also can knock her out. I have no way to explain that which will make sense, so I'll stop, and just say that Teppy's advice sounds right on. I will add though that if mum takes it for more than a couple of days in a row, it seems to deaden her a little. Her voice even sounds depressed.
Since I typically take Ativan to ease my anxiety so I can sleep, I'm probably not the best person to ask. Steph's advice sounds good.
Today was haircut day again already...damn it grows fast. Hopefully that'll make up for the fact we wished the cat a happy birthday.
