Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
R said "Did you get me the same thing I got you?" To which I replied, "I sure hope so."
You got him a chain for his watch, and he got you some fancy combs?
And P-C figures out why I got my hair cut yesterday.
Happy Anniversary, Raq and Raq's DH!!!
Speaking of sleep, Tom and I split one of his new anti-anxiety drugs, Ativan, last night and went to sleep.
Ah, Ativan. Such a nice drug.
if Teppy stops by, or anyone who has Ativan knowledge, any thoughts on the drug? It's to apply to anxiety as needed. a half dose knocked us both out last night (though we were pretty exhausted to begin with) so I don't know if Tom can take a dose and then drive, or what. I guess we'll play it safe until we get a better feel for how it affects him.
Honestly, any drug that affects the brain/CNS is going to act differently in different people (well, that's probably true of all drugs, to one degree or another), so if I tell you that I could take an Ativan and drive, it won't help you.
I'd say Tom should take one (or half) today or tomorrow -- i.e., a weekend day when he doesn't have to drive or go to work, etc. -- and see how it affects him.
ION, it is POURING down rain here. I think I shall do the only sane thing one can do in the face of all this rain -- paint my nails and watch Bull Durham. (What? Sink full of dishes? Huh? La la la la la, I can't hearrrrrr youuuuuuu....)
Note To Self:
Reading the opposing views on teaching birth control in public schools makes me want to poke my eyes out from frustration. However, if you thought doing homework while sleeping was hard, try it with no eyes. I mean, look what happened to Jocasta.
Um, wow. >[link] I think I just threw up in my mouth. You know, excess can do that to me from time to time, but the idea of giving a rich baby a $17,000.00 binky, when there are dying of hunger all over the world is giving me an insta-headache, and now I see people here have already gone there with the Pitt-Jolie baby, so never mind.Nora, my mother occasionally takes Ativan. Her blood pressure issues are closely tied to her getting nervous and upset. Anyhow, she can drive on it, but it also can knock her out. I have no way to explain that which will make sense, so I'll stop, and just say that Teppy's advice sounds right on. I will add though that if mum takes it for more than a couple of days in a row, it seems to deaden her a little. Her voice even sounds depressed.
Since I typically take Ativan to ease my anxiety so I can sleep, I'm probably not the best person to ask. Steph's advice sounds good.
Today was haircut day again already...damn it grows fast. Hopefully that'll make up for the fact we wished the cat a happy birthday.
My clock works like this: if vw and Cindy are posting, it's too early for the rest of the States, afternoon for me and Jars and Fay and Nilly, way too late for billytea, and WAY TOO FREAKING EARLY for the West Coasters, so if Cass is posting it's because she's not sleeping.Raq's "math" is also my math.
If Raq is posting the first message in a bit, then it is certainly late. Same with Fay and Jars. And I should hie thee to bed.
If Cindy or vw post? Oh noes I must club myself over the head in an effort to sleep.
Once the rest of the east coast is posting? Time to just tick one more in the Lost column and make some coffee.
Buffista time math.
Cass is the wildcard::shakes head sadly::
I gotta get less nocturnal...
I wasn't looking forward to attempting to hold medicinal peas to his face. But you *had* the medicinal peas. Good mom.
At one point in Chris's toddlerhood (starting around Mal's age, I'm pretty sure) he kept banging the same spot on his forehead, every time he fell. There was perpetual bump and bruise in the same spot. We used to joke that he had Angel forehead.Bwah! Angel forehead...
We just looked at each other and laughed. R said "Did you get me the same thing I got you?" To which I replied, "I sure hope so."Heh! Happy Anniversary! I used to send P and her DH a card every year. I was the only one of the three of us that remembered... Which reminds me that their anniversary is coming up, time to see if they've finally starting noting it...
Are you staying blonde, erika? Cause your hair looks fabulous.
Off to vacuum the couch (and the cat if she doesn't rrrrrrrrrruuuuuuuuuuun), grab some things at Trader Joe's and then head to the train station.
