Hivemind question: I want to put together a little going away present for T before her move. I should have already done this, but I have been avoiding thinking about it. I don't want anything that will be difficult for her to pack. I have thought of a couple of little things, but I would be grateful to have some suggestions.

Apparently KatieBee was trekking across the desert with my mother. It sounds like every trip I've ever taken with her. She's saying, "Do you think the gold or the brown earrings?" and I'm thinking, "You're in a strange city. You're never going to see these people again. Fie upon the getting dressed! I dislike voting. I do it reliably but without enthusiasm since I don't really believe that anything I do actually Counts out there in the real world. Or something like that. It could be that I'm a tad bitter.
