Because books.

The doctor prescribed 10 days of prednisone and a new medication, which I started taking Friday. Shouldn't I be better by now?

Steroids take a while to work, don't they? And it's only Tuesday. I'd give it another day or two.

My cough has been very asthma-y, too -- I had to use my inhaler the last few days for the first time in forever.

Hm....I'd call the doctor back. They may want to extend the higher dosage of prednisone for a few more days.

The whole coughing/lack of oxygen thing is keeping me from sleeping. I really wasn't interested in finding a new way my body can turn on me.

Oh, Ginger. I'm so with you.

What medication did they give you, besides the prednisone?

Serevent. I was already on Q-Var, plus Albuterol as needed.

Hmm...I would think you'd be getting some relief by now, with those new meds. I'd call the dr.

vw, I hope you get a restful night's sleep tonight.

I found a new for me and very unpleasant way to have an anxiety attack this morning. I was having a fairly boring dream where I was with some friends at some sort of art gathering, when I started to have an anxiety attack in my dream. I woke up with my heart racing, trying to catch my breath. It took me about a half hour to convince myself that I could get out of bed.

What is even happening?

Ginger, if it was taking Chris that long to improve, I'd call the doctor.

(it did sound quite sarcastic, but we know you're lovely. This is the peril of No Coffee.)

It really did. I cringed when I re-read it, Fay. At 5:30 on two sips of coffee, it was all playful wit and charm, without a hint of that sulphuric acid after-taste. Apologies again, billytea.

Well, my brother and sister-in-law are off to the hospital -- her water broke this morning. Interesting day to have a baby.

Whoot! I take it they only stripped her membranes or whatever last week, then?
