Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Nicole, I'm glad you're full of drugs and are now en-thermometer-ed. Now eat your chicken/miso/hot&sour/tomato soup and get better!

Thanks to a friend's info about a pre-sale password, Pete just ordered tickets for the opening night of Wicked.

So. Jealous.

I did, however, just go buy the Seche Vite topcoat that you recommended. The Sally Beauty saleswoman approved of my choice. I wanted to tell her it was a tip from Gothic Charm School, but I thought it might go over her head. Perhaps I will be girly tonight and paint my nails.

Ooh, good! (The polish on my toes still looks perfect. Yes, the polish from the pedicure at F2F.)

Someone tell me that I should NOT make a mini witch's hat to wear when we go see Wicked. That doing that crosses that thin line between whimiscal and scary-crazy.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I won't be telling you not to do a damn thing. I was *theese* close to wearing a big, pink prom dress until I reminded that I should save it for the movie.

(PLEASE let them make a movie.)

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Er...I think it would be kinda cute.

Scary-crazy would be if you painted your face green.

Nope, I'm afraid I think that's still way on this side of whimsical and that you should do it.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I love this idea--as long as you test it first to make sure any short people sitting behind you can see the stage.

Oooh! You could make a little witchy chapeau!

Now tagless for your comfort.

We almost stayed there. It was one of our options but it was too far for Joe to travel every day. We are doing okay. Ellie had a nice birthday yesterday - swim in the ocean and a nice dinner out. Still, entertaining a toddler (boy, she sounds so old!) in a hotel and eating so many meals out gets tiring. Swimming really wears her out, though, and that helps.

It is a gorgeous place but pretty remote--and EXPENSIVE. Anything you buy on site is outrageously marked up and even the cheapest restaurant on site was pretty damned spendy. You're probably better off where you are. But I hope you guys have a fridge or something. I can't imagine trying eat out every meal with a toddler. When Owen was that age, we went through a phase where we had a 45 minute window for restaurant eating. That included ordering, eating, paying the check and getting out the door. Needless to say, we didn't eat out very often until he learned to entertain himself with crayons, etc.

Jilli, that sounds GREAT! Yay on the Wicked tickets.

Nicole, I'm glad you got saw the doc and got some scripts. I hope it gets better quickly. TAKE THE WHOLE COURSE OF AB's. That always bears repeating.

Thanks to the inspiration of Hec and Megan--I am leaning strongly toward this haircut: [link] Any thoughts from Les Biches?

What is even happening?

Jilli, I'm so conventional it hurts. I drive a freaking mini-van. To soccer games. I go to a Protestant church. I am a s-a-h-m. Right now I am wearing jeans and a T-shirt. My only piercings are one hole in each ear--that my grandmother took me to get.

Even I think the hat would fall well within the bounds of whimsy.
