Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Thanks to the inspiration of Hec and Megan--I am leaning strongly toward this haircut: [link] Any thoughts from Les Biches?

What is even happening?

Jilli, I'm so conventional it hurts. I drive a freaking mini-van. To soccer games. I go to a Protestant church. I am a s-a-h-m. Right now I am wearing jeans and a T-shirt. My only piercings are one hole in each ear--that my grandmother took me to get.

Even I think the hat would fall well within the bounds of whimsy.

Because books.

Oooh, Robin, I love that!

Yay for Jilli's good day and Wicked tickets!

So glad Nicole went to the doctor. As Cash said, take ALL of the antibiotics. And keep your thermometer handy!

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Someone tell me that I should NOT make a mini witch's hat to wear when we go see Wicked. That doing that crosses that thin line between whimiscal and scary-crazy.

Hmm. I'm actually in two minds about this, inasmuchas it blurs the line between Jilliwear and Specific Fancy Dress Costume. Hmm. I'm not worried about scary-crazy, mind you, and I don't think that there's any reason one shouldn't go in costume to see Wicked. And I'm sure it would look charming.

...I'd be rooting for ruby slippers as an accesory, though. It seems only fitting.

Er. In short, then - I feel confident that the sartorial choice you make will be the right one, even if I'm not sure what the right one should be.

And I am ALL about the Wicked envy. Yes.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I vote Yay on the mini-witch hat.

Poison Ivy of the Cramps wore a witch hat for one of their Halloween shows and she looked hottt.

Very attractive and you could totally wear that. I feel compelled to note that that cut is fairly short in its layers on the sides and the length in back is a little illusory. It'll play more like a short cut with some length in back, rather than a "just above the shoulders cut." With that caveat, I think you'd look great with it.

Sigh. Should've actually asked for the -ma....I went to jury duty today and got selected for a trial that is estimated to last for five days!! Ay. Today was all about the jury selection and they let us go at about 3:45, rather than start the trial. Sigh.

On the good side, it's closer than work is.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Jilli and Aimee--at graduation yesterday, the school choir sang "For Good". I thought of you both.

I think you're right. I haven't had shortish hair in a while and this cut looks like it will be easy to care for while still having a cool vibe. I am worried it will make me look like a Mutant Giant Nose Creature, due to my rather magnificent schnozz, but I trust your judgment.
