I've seen honest faces before. They usually come attached to liars.

Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

And I figgered it was fate cause I missed the first call but the voicemail starts with, "There's nobody more in tune with motorsports..."

Fate.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

First prank call? This goes in her baby book.

Can't believe I missed drunen Maria. Stoopid sleeping.

Sorry, Trudy. As a truely minor consolation, you're here for drunken Calli. Well, fairly drunken. I'm on my third G&T, but it really doesn't take much with me and I'm not really sparing the G part of the equation.

While in the nursery today I got to hear the person in front of me go on about the snakes she found in her truckload of mulch. Snakes in a Truck! It's sort of the NC version of Snakes on a Plane. I thought of sharing this idea with her, but decided not to. Silly really. If I'd had gin at the time I'm sure I would have.

I love your apartment, sj. I hope you and Dave can enjoy it for a long time. (BTW, I don't think I've seen Dave before, what a cutie!)

sj, I love the light fixture in your study. I think the apartment is worth it just for that.

It is very pretty. I think you should come visit it.

sj, I am deeply envious of all your apartment's wooden floors. Lovely! Also, I'll get aboard the Dave is a Cutie train.

OK, ugh. All tis talk gimlets and G&T's made me think "Hey, a cool, refreshing, summery drink - that sounds cool and refreshing", but I have no gin, no tonic, no white wine, etc. I do have some Bailey's and some Framboise, and I used to drink a thing called an English Raspberry that was Chambord and cream liqueur, and while Bailey's never worked for that, I thought I could avoid teh curdling effect by not shaking over ice, just pouring and sipping. So I poured and immediately got a gelatinous mess.

Don't try this at home.
