Vermont sounds like a great idea. It will probably sound even greater in July.
Eh, in my experience, not so much. Here's the problem: Tourists mostly come in the autumn, and the winter (for winter sports). Air conditioning? Yeah. Some places have it. This is a problem in both (non-coastal) New Hampshire, Vermont, and some (non-coastal) regions in Maine. It can get up in the 90s, and even in the 80s it is muggy, muggy, muggy. You could luck out with perfect 70-80 degree days. Or you could spend your entire vacation damning yankees.

No one should be this delicious!
I remember taking a class in computer simulation at my Texas university. The professor was illustrating the example of a stop light where queues were maintained for each direction the cars came from. The queues were East, West, South, and Yankee.

Have you the brain worms?!?
Have you the brain worms?!?

Now wait....Zim brain worms or Futurama brain worms?
Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely start keeping a work-journal, but hopefully it won't be an issue for my future shifts. What a great experience.
JZ, you sound really cute today.
new cold symptom - today my eyes and nose are running. Can't read blergh. Happily the cough is way mellower than before . I have more energy, but I can't see.
JZ will be happy to know that I just pinged Kim and she said there will be a gothy tinge to her wedding proceedings, and suggested Jacqueline might need a parasol. Also the wedding will take place surrounded by boxes of carniverous plants.
I can do that here.
With air conditioning. For New England vacations, it goes like this:
Winter:
- White Mountains of New Hampshire (and some of the range reaches into Maine)
- Green Mountains of Vermont
Spring:
- Anywhere, but bring an umbrella (stay out of the way northern areas until June)
Summer:
- Coastal Massachusetts (particularly Cape Cod & the Islands)
- I don't want to leave CT out, but I don't generally go there, so I'll say Coastal CT
Fall
- Anywhere, but particularly the NH and VT mountains, and the Berkshires (western MA). Stay out of the more northern and mountainous areas after Halloween.
