Angel: I appreciate you guys looking out for Connor all summer. It's just—he's confused. He needs time. That's all. Fred: Right. Time, and some corporal punishment with a large heavy mallet. Not that I'm bitter.

Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Compassionately intolerant

Beverly, I just started a 'cleansing fast' myself (lots less food, no grains except rice, no dairy except bioactive yogurt, just clean foods) to help rebuild my system after the mono. (and to shake the weight I gained as a result of it) I'm sending support vibes your way.

Fella is still really sick but I'm doing a lot better. Not sure if the antiviral med is doing anything at all but the only symptom I'm having today is tiredness. The sore throat I've awakened with every day for nearly four months seems to be gone! Yay for that.

A neighbor came to collect Bartleby and me for a trip to the cemetery (the National Cemetery is a dog park) this morning. We had four dogs, which like a murder of crows I like to call a seeth of dogs. It was hilarious with the running and the panting.

Now both Bboy and I need a good long nap.

Hope everyone is having a pleasant day.

Oh, and Fay, given what I've seen in the F2F photos, I can completely envision you curled up in a sparkly nest. Bless!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Yes, quite obviously, a cozy, soft, glittery nest is the natural habitat of a Fay.

Thanks, Beej, and right back atcha.

DH is making "ham & eggy goodness" for brunch. And since it's my last fried food for a while, I shall go and partake with gusto.

Our wings are not tired.

You've tired me out Beverly. I'm with you on the new!stricter!diet! today. I'm just having a hard time creating a plan. Not eating out is a start. Can't live without fruit, so low-carb is out. No diet likes wine, but my family would prefer that I not give up the wine.

With the school year ending my schedule is not quite so insane. This could make exercise a possibility. GF is moving a few blocks away and we both have fortunes worth of gym equipment. We have good intentions of cranking the rock 'n roll and putting this stuff to use.

While I'm rambling I have to gently complain about my MIL. I adore that she stayed with the kids while I gallivanted around the country. Any time that she is in my house laundry is done. Laundry is apparently her passion, and I certainly always have plenty.

But we don't do laundry the same way, at all. I tried to get it all done before she got here, but Brendon was out of town so his stuff didn't get done. She washed all of his polo shirts. Turned them all inside out. Then to keep them pure or something she didn't dry them but hung them all on hangers in the laundry room.

So of course they are all damp and inside out. So I took them all off the hangers, turned them, and tossed them in the dryer as the creator so intended. Stuff doesn't dry in Florida, it molds. She should know this since she has lived here 25 years.

Rant over. I'm so lucky to have her nearby. I do know this.

Oh, and my laptop desktop features Legendary Babes toasting me. (in my mind anyway) [link]

This makes me smile.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Also, the exercise routine that I expect to hasten my demise

My constant refrain appx. 2 days after I re-start exercising? "Man, this shit CAN'T be good for you!"

After seeing pictures of me from the F2F (as well as realizing that some of my skirts are too tight), I vowed to be better about my eating after the F2F, and get back on the exercise train.

Instead, this Ick seems to be getting worse, not better (I've got a cough now, and some nasty grossness in my chest that I can, if I try hard enough, cough up), which isn't lending itself to exercise. And my no-sugar rule is out the door, because I've been drinking tea with sugar in it like it's a miracle cure. (It's not.)

This had better not be bronchitis. I'll be pissed. (Not *at* anyone; just pissed in a free-form, targetless manner.) On the other hand, bronchitis is treatable with antibiotics, which would mean a definitive massacre of whatever germs have taken up residence in me. And that would be good.

(I swear to you that every time I plan to re-start exercising/eating well, I get sick. It's the most consistent psychosomatic reaction I've ever experienced.)

The status is NOT quo.

My landlord decided he needed to hammer something against the side of my guesthouse. At 8:30AM. On a Sunday.

He's finished now, but the damage is done. Awake. Damn it.

I'm getting the pig!

OMG, you bitch, you just sat on my wet polish!

Hee. In my house it's usually, "Bailey, do you absolutely have to do a spinny dance on the couch Right Exactly Now?"

I start the new!stricter!diet! tomorrow, so I plan on eating an assload of ice cream today.

Oh! Maybe I'll join you, Bev. Just on your plans for today. The tomorrow plan sounds less fun.

Which reminds me that I miss SF not only because of the people but also because I never seem to have much of an appetite when I'm there. Then I get home and I'm hungry enough to eat lima beans. Not fair.

Heading out to a BBQ for the Aunts. Aunt J's birthday is today and Aunt T's birthday is Tuesday. Lots of grilled meat and hopefully ice cream cake are in my immediate future.

This post brought to you by the word Food and my growling tummy.

No one should ever have to be that hungry. Bleah.
