Timelies!
I am up much earlier than I would have liked to have been, but I guess I shouldn't complain, since I went to bed super dooper early.
I'm taking the time to write the loan contract. This is actually kind of fun.
The Mayor ,'End of Days'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Man, the jetlag she is fierce.
Apparently Resource is now cancelled for the remaining 3 weeks of term, which means I'm...well, pretty much sitting around reading, and twiddling my thumbs. Eventually I had the bright idea of building a nest out of the glittery cushions from my carpeted 'reading zone' under my desk, and curled up there and fell asleep. I was definitely busted twice by kids who didn't know the lessons were cancelled, and was very probably heard snoring by other kids/teachers who came in to collect stuff they'd printed to my printer. Um. But it was cosy.
In shallow fashion news, today's ensemble is called 'Teyla Emmagen Embraces The Shiny'. It consists of a fantastic floaty brown cotton skirt that is softer than soft, and a sort of khaki-coloured V-neck Tshirty thing which can be fastened with cord. (...and which has an iron-on ATLANTIS patch on the arm, because I really am that geeky.) And then it's paired with the pearl-covered shoes I wore to the prom, and a very long & skinny cloth-of-gold scarf that's got pink and peach and green and grey running through it.
Um.
But it's a little bit wasted when I'm curled up under my desk with iRodney and a book, snoring gently.
FAY!
I am a total crab monster. I hope this goes away with more coffee or something.
I think you should embrace your inner crab monster. Although that might be uncomfortable, depending on how big its pincers are. Hmm.
Hola chicas!
Not a crab monster. Don't know why. Must be a hysterical reaction to my list. Maybe unpacking will happen today, or not.
Hope the ghosties didn't get Kristin.
Bunny, still cute. I hope Bobby's interest keeps up because I don't need another chore. He earned the bunny gift because he was all responsible when he bunnysat for a neighbor on vacation. Trogdor lives in his room. We purchased a 3' long cage and a bunch of stuff from the pet store.
I want to go to NY for a chunk of the summer, but so far no luck in finding a high speed internet solution that doesn't involve driving 12 miles.
'morning all. I have a house full of rearranged furniture, a pleasant ache in my arms, a mountain of paper to go through, church to attend, and plants to water. Beyond that, though, I'm a bit at loose ends. I may go spend the day at the zoo.
Hee on the tag Anne. Where is it from? For the record:
Some people are like Slinkies. They're not very useful, but they bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
I envy your energy. I've managed to make coffee. Um, that's all.
eta: I am down to 477 messages in the F2F thread, so that's sayin somthin.
I'm still making my way out of bed (fueled by coffee, natch). I'm probably going to haul my carcass to the early service at church so I can get to the gardens (or the zoo) ahead of the crowds.
My tag is actually from a sign that's in a co-worker's cube. It amused me greatly so I snitched it. I'm not sure what its origin is beyond that, however.
I've seen it on Overheardintheoffice.com (or overheardinnewyork.com).
I have made both coffee and my bed, scalded waterbottles and filtered tap water, and filled the clean bottles and fitted them into the fridge. I have scrubbed the floating candle bowl the cat insists is his watering hole, and the floating glass candle holders, refilled the bowl and set it back on its stand. I've added water to the fountain, watered the deck plants and fertilized ones that need it. Unfortunately I may have overfertilized one planter, as my comeback pineapple sage, lemon, wooly and silver-edged thyme are brown and crispy. The chives, oregano, gold-edged and red creeping thymes and Spanish lavender seem okay, though, the rosemary triffid seems to be recovering from its brown and drop needle phase, and the new rosemarys, sage and basils, lemon verbena and, um, that other thing, I forget, all seem to be doing well.
I start the new!stricter!diet! tomorrow, so I plan on eating an assload of ice cream today. Wherein assload=small fruit bowl, ungarnished. As of tomorrow, no ice cream, no peanut butter pretzels, no bread, no goldfish, indeed, no grain of any kind except plain, ungarnished oatmeal. Also, the exercise routine that I expect to hasten my demise AND the new psoriasis regimen begins tomorrow. I may just not get up.
But for today, my task is to finish catching up here, on LJ, and on WX. And eat ice cream. Maybe more than one serving.
