What is even happening?

HUGE payraise for me. Significant payraise for Joe, but all told, we'd be making the same amount as we do out here, probably a little more.
How so?

I'm getting the pig!

Bunny cute!

Hope Plei household and Toto are feeling better now or soon.

Bad team mates, Suzi!

My MiL just called. Offered both of us jobs on the newspaper she's starting.

Wow. Would this involve a move? And if so, couldn't she have offered this before you started school?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

How so?

It's be at most a 10k cut for Joe, but more than likely only a 5k cut. I'd get at least 5k more, but could talk her into 10k raise. The range she gave me could go up to a 15k raise for me.

Nicole, it would include a move and, to be fair, she did not know I was even thinking about school. But, school can move with me.

Very true. And whatever you decide, I always wish for the best for you and your family.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Would this mean moving back to Michigan? Because a raise could go much further there, right? When I go to Minneapolis to our company's HQ, I am amazed at how much cheaper and nicer housing is there.

Oh (you'd said it was a significant raise for Joe and a huge raise for you--goober). Is the cost of living lower to the extent that it would make up the difference?

Is this in MI, Aimee?

So, where would you end up moving to, Aimée? Also, what's the job security? Start-ups are a risky proposition.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

All are things I need to consider.

They have pretty good investors who want to put a lot of money into the paper and make it succeed. The cost of living is definitely lower and we might even -GASP! - be able to buy a house. Then again - having my MiL in the same area code? Eh.

THen again, having my own family in the same area code is a good thing.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Aimee, would you both be writing for the paper? Because you both could, that's for damn sure.
