Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Glad you had a good time at the movies, vw. You deserve it.

I keep expecting him to drawl "Bring me another brick, there's a good chap...I seem to have soiled myself."

I can't decide whether this is funnier in Stewie's voice, or Brain's.

Dude, I am so claiming Mal for my daughter, ya know, if I ever have one. And if the Buffistas ever get around to arranging marriages between their kids. Should that go in Bureaucracy or do we need a new thread for it?

Cash, I'm pretty sure Raq's right about it. Your friend was not trying to snub you, she just didn't feel she could bring in another party to the outing, so she did not mention it at all. Of course, she is going to feel soooooo awkward when her hubby tells her he mentioned the zoo to you.

edited to remove extraneous wrong, wrong, wrong apostrophe.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I have decided to give up on work today, and whoever doesn't like that can bite my ass.

Instead, I shall recount the dream I had last night. I dreamt about my Prom outfit, which was pretty cool because I hadn't at ALL decided what to wear. Apparently I'll be there in Rocky Horror Floor Show-fu, because in my dream I was putting on a black miniskirt, fishnet thigh-highs (avec garters), and big black heeled boots. And a black corset top, which is the only part I don't currently own, which means I need to get one.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Raq, I can't tell you enough how much your gorgeous son looks like you. He has got to be one of the smilingest babies I've ever seen.

I'm over the zoo thing, I think. I've gone through the rational explanations but I still have some hurty feelings. I guess I can't understand why R and our mutual friend K didn't think to invite us to the zoo in the first place. It's tough when I'm in a place where I feel isolated and without a lot of friends. *shrug*

Ok. American Dreamz is HIL-arious!!

I'll put it on my list to see. I saw Dennis Quaid plugging the film on the Today show and The Daily Show (which was much funnier) and have to say--DQ looks GOOOOOOD and the movie does look hilarious. I also think that Willem Dafoe looks so much like Dick Cheney that I spit orange juice when I saw the film clip on Today.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Cash, your white font nearly made me spit and I don't have anything in my mouth.

Raq, I finally figured out why Mal has such big hands and feet. He's going to be a swimmer. Those folks always have broad, broad shoulders, skinny little hips and very long hands and feet. Glad to see you've started him in the right direction so soon.

The man is one of my favorite character actors but that was just more than I could take!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Darling vw, you are strong (like an Amazon!) but part of being strong is asking for help and taking the breaks you need. The movie sounds like a fabulous way to have spent the afternoon. Especially for a running away ball. Running away balls love them the comedy films.

Back to grinning Mal pics now.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay for Mal pics. What a beautiful child. Not that it could have happened any other way with his beautiful mother. Just what I needed to perk me up after a long day, that isn't half over.

I didn't go to any of my reunions, if there were any. Would have been #30 a few years ago. I left town at 19 and they didn't. Whenever I visit home they are doing the exact same stuff they were 30 years ago. There was one girl a year ahead of me that I have kept in touch with. The rest of them I couldn't care less about. I had friends at the time, but I didn't go to school with them.

Yay for fun movie time!
