I have now been at LAX since 3:30. My flight is now scheduled to leave at a little before 8. If it does then I will have waited at the airport for over three times the length of time the flight is going to take.

Right now I just want them to either cancel this flight or delay it enough that I can justify not getting on it. Trust me I've been sitting here for hours just ready to walk back out to my car and go home but I'm massively conflicted about not showing up for family gatherings.

Just thinking about my family makes me exhausted. There's a bar at the dude ranch. I plan to take a book and stay there I think. If this flight gets in too late I'm going to have to stay in Reno tonight since it's a bit of a drive out to Quincy from Reno and I don't want to wreck the rental car.
