You're not kidding.
I am using my cute new backpack [link] (I got the mocha/light blue combo). It was a b-day gift from my GF and I loves it.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

oof for the no-coffee having people.
I have had coffee and most some of a diet coke. Aidan has gone to school and come back a pissant with a sunburn. I have to call the school and ask them to be sure he sits not-near a window on the bus from now on. Kara is being cute, and is currently outfitted in blue pants, pink shirt, white strappy sandals (wrong feet), red dangly earrings, a fuzzy teal purse, a white straw hat and her rescriptive (sun) Dora glasses. She believes she is HUGELY adorable; even more huge than the big blue chair adorable. If Pete wore Dora glasses, I'd be concerned that I'd switched someone somewhere.
I have been cutting the front lawn with scissors. Our lawnmower is dead and cannot be fixed before this weekend, but the grass is quite high and the city seems to be concerned with our slovenliness. Good thing they haven't seen the inside of the house. Other than the bandaids on my fingers, this cutting thing is actually quite fun. Kara has been helping with her safety scissors and the two pair of scissors have been carrying on conversations.
Lesson for the day: Tiny ants bite.
I've had coffee, but it wasn't quite enough. I've got a BLT now, though -- hopefully the bacon will succeed where the coffee could not.
Gronnnnnnnnnnk.
I think you should get a goat.
I've had a goat. It ate my trees.
But they're yummy in curry!
Trees?
Oh, goat. I've heard that. I may try it someday. After lamb. I'm funny about "cute" animals, though I have eaten rabbit and/or squirrel, I don't quite recall which...small wild rodent in stew with dumplings, anyway.
Poor Deena! Poor Gloomcookie!
I am back home and have put the living room back together. I'm askeered to start on the rest of the place. Also, exhausted.
Bastet seems to have taken the whole thing in stride, and is now back on her throne, sleeping. I think she found going to J's house an adventure. Oh, and there were flowers there that she could eat. She loved that! Hopefully she won't start puking them up till Emily gets home. (Yes, I'm evil.)

Every so often, I am in a surly mood and decide that I must eat something cute. Usually it ends up being a bunny or a duckie....
Timelies. And gronk, too. I slept nine hours straight last night. I think it's partially made up for the sleep deficit I racked up in SF. It appears to be holding the Ick in abeyance, so I will try that again tonight. If possible. For now, must to find coffee.
