Zoe: Is there any way I'm gonna get out of this with honor and dignity? Wash: You're pretty much down to ritual suicide, lambie-toes.

Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Aimee, I wish I had you as a student -- you'd understand when I was snarking, snark back and laugh appropriately. I never have enough students that do.

My DH, btw, upon leaving Deb's yesterday afternoon said, "That really is one cute kid," about your Em. His compliments about kids should not be taken lightly, as the last picture Jeff opened of the four children fathered by one of his best friends from college got this reaction, "Wow, none of them are ever going to win any beauty contests."

Memememe (sort of) bragging: My 9 year old niece placed 4th in the beginner category at the Topanga Canyon fiddle contest. My 13 year old nephew placed 1st in the intermediate competition (he won the beginner last year), and my BiL came in 1st for his back-up guitar work for his children (second year in a row).

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Teacup Guy's meeting is running extra long this week. Poor thing, he must be starving. I made a frittata about a half hour ago, and I just gave up on him getting home and put it in the fridge.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

That's so cool.

Has anyone else here ever watched Honey, We're Killing the Kids? I just watched it, and frankly, I'm horrified. I'm absolutely fine with the "kids (and adults) should eat healthy foods and be active" messages, but the ways that they're getting these parents to enforce that stuff is really horrible.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I don't watch that show because I figured it would horrify me, Hil.

Prize winning fiddlers! Wow! That's impressive as all get out. Such a combination of technique and glee goes into fiddling.

BTW, Sparky, Henry has taken your advice to heart and is keeping his telecommuting hair. At least when his mom isn't visiting.

Yay on graduations, boo on evil landlords, TMJ, and crazy early movers.

Meara, it sounds like you had a FANTASTIC time, and I wish I could have magically gone and seen the show. Wow.

I wish you could've too! Of course, right now I'm being a big dork and ever-so-2006: I've discovered that the girl I made out with over the weekend has an LJ, and through it, discovered that she is, in fact, only 22. (Also, she hasn't emailed me. Pout.).

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

t whine We're home, I'm still awake, I must work tomorrow, I have Teh Ick, and I am trying to arrange how and when and where to get to a wake and funeral tomorrow night/Wednesday.

It's just all very much too much. t /whine

EDIT: on the plus side, the flight went well and we had delicious curry in Salem and I still love my home, even if it's not San Francisco.

The status is NOT quo.

This! I'm so glad you've begun.

BWAH! Tell him thank you. Em and I received some amazing compliments this weekend.
