Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I agree with beth, SA. Start with the department chair and keep going up. Eventually someone will make it right, if you go high enough. Smite is an excellent word.

In college, I always hated that part of finals week. Everything. happens. at once! and trying to deal with one frelled-up thing can wreck you for days. As long as it's not going to keep you from graduating, it can wait. ~~ma.

eta: Go Aimee!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Congrats, Aimee! Where are you going?

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Congratulations, Aimee. That's wonderful news.

Everything does happen at once, doesn't it? I think BC's particular policy is just to say: "Okay, here's Adversity. I know it looks really big, and perhaps we ordered the extra-large versions in comparison to the rest of the universities in this country, but here it is. If you can get through it, there will be a diploma waiting at the end like a carrot on a stick. Go."

I just want my carrot.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Suzi, I will most defintely be feeling your pain - for lo! I am also going to the University of Phoenix. B.S. in Human Services and then I might work on a Master's in Social Work. I'm going to aim for working in schools.

Are you doing the ground program or online?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Online. Which, kinda feels like cheating right now and that I'm "buying" a degree, until it was pointed out to me that I'll be working even harder than I would have (or, in fact, did) in a "real" school because I'm also working full time and raising a child and that EVERYONE who has a degree, bought it to some extent. So, I looked at the coursework and liked it a lot and....here I go!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Not necessarily sheer, but...lip gloss, so not as not-sheer as lipstick, y'know? I want to be able to put it on with no mirror, and not be TOO paranoid about drawing outside the lines, if that makes sense. Looking online at Sephora, Clinique looks like they might have some nice colors, but so hard to tell, really...

If they still make it, try their Almost Lipstick. I think ita swears by the Black Honey.

The Terra Tints tinted lip balm in Garnet (see your local Whole Foods for details) is what I've been using. It's a little more sheer than the other Terra Tints shades, and gives a nice Your Lips But Better look.

Oh, and the Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in Rhubarb may also suit you. Erinaceous turned me on to it, and it's nice.
