Nora, was the BEEPing for Jilli's benefit? I don't think she noticed. Perhaps a few more BEEPs will do it
DANG it no! It was a Rio-bot BEEEEEPPPP. Way to make Jilli HATE ME mere days before meeting her, dude!
'Why We Fight'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A likely story Nora. Pshaw, indeed.

Don't worry, I know who the real instigator was.
Productive WindSparrow should so come over to Chez Bee. We'd really get things done in the garden and still have time for pizza and a trip to the bookstore.
If you ply me with books, I'll do yardwork for ya, oh yeah, baby.
Ailleann, don't pay attention to the numbers on the scale - how are your clothes fitting, is a better question. Is entirely possible to be saying bye-bye to fat, and hello to nice, firm muscle, and have the scale not budge.
(rubs lazy chore-shirking hands together in a villanous way, eyeing the two boxes of books bound for the resale store) Bwahaha. All your yard labor is belong to me now. Look! I've got a nice book over here for you... it's all hardback, with shiny foil on the cover. You know you want it. It's going to look perfect on your shelves. It will raise your standard of living purely by the virtue of its having purple cloth boards and silver gilt text.
This scheme is going to make soooo more room for other books over here. Excellent.
Ick. Sorry to hear that, Pete. Also, now I want a scone with jam.
Exactly what Kristin said. Exactly.

I'm a librarian. I have LOTS of books. Huge numbers are even mine, to give away as I please. hint, hint, hint...
WindSparrow, I'd be happy if it stayed the same. I went up by three pounds. Which, I know, but still. The other issue, apparently the lady who did my starting measurements measures very tight. Which isn't right. So I don't even get to know if I've decreased at all for another four weeks.
Clothes aren't fitting a lot better. I do have more energy, and the moving around has improved mood, of course. Waiting another month to find out even a little something promising? Killer.
If you get really discouraged, and want to try a different eating plan, I can point you to what I was following when I released 73 lbs a year and a half ago.

Good for you!
How different is different?
How different is different?
Modest amount of protien, controlled amount of fats, little bit of fruit, little bit of whole grain, zero refined starches or sugar, whole lotta veggies. It's the eating plan recommended by Overeaters Anonymous, as relayed to me by a physician's assistant who had lost significant amounts of weight attending meetings. (I've never gone to a meeting.)
One thing that is very, very different from most diets? I never got up from a meal wondering where the rest of it was. Many times, particularly at first, I would carefully measure out portions according to directions, then look at my plate and think, "How in blazes am I supposed to eat all that?"
