I feel totally humiliated even whinging about this, when there are so many Bitches under attack from body image demons
Their body image demons can beat up your health issues? It's not like you're complaining about being too happy, much less a diamond-shoes-too-tight sort of a problem.
Also, I'm not gaining enough weight.
I could give you some of mine. I mean, if you dont mind the patchwork look :)

I think that everyone understands. you should come visit. I would feed you. smothered chicken, mmmmmm.
In Spanish. They've probably left 10 messages in the last week. I feel badly for them, but there is nothing I can do about it.
I want to take a Spanish class and try to help Owen start learning, too. I sat next to a new mom with a teeny (about a week or two old) baby in the airport in San Juan and she spoke no English. I coudn't even tell her how adorable her little girl was.
JZ, it's perfectly ok to let loose about any issue in pregnancy. I strongly suggest carrying heathy snacks with you all the time and just pretty much keep snacking. Peanut butter crackers, nuts, granola bars, etc. are all a good idea to add to your purse.
ita's right, BIDs do not trump the health concerns of you and your baby. Your a vegitarian, right? I'm thinking peanut butter and lots of beans. Also, ice cream; this is no time to skimp on desserts.

added bonus -- calcium. So none of that sorbet crap!
Cheese. Followed by cheese and some cheesecake. And olives.
Speaking of ice cream; Trader Joe's tiramisu gelato IFG!
Honestly, I think a desperation to gain weight is no less valid than a desperation to lose it, but when you factor doctor's orders and "eating for two" into it, it shouldn't even be a hesitation.
Any healthy-gaining/eating-when-you're-not-hungry tips from other Bitch mothers would be very much appreciated.
I had trouble gaining weight when I was expecting Julia. Basically, do all the things they tell you not to do, when you're trying to lose weight. Eat while you watch TV or read. Eat snacks straight from the bag/package (whatever) rather than taking a reasonable portion with you, on a plate, or whatever.
I ate a bowl of cereal every single night. Eat as much as you can shove down without becoming uncomfortable, every night.
This isn't for supper, mind you. This is later on, after supper. If you eat while you're doing something to occupy your mind, it might go down easier, too.
Don't drink skim or low fat milk, either. Drink whole. Emmett and Hec will survive the five months, or can buy their own.
Also, I'm not gaining enough weight. Two pounds total since January. The MD impressed upon me rather fiercely that I must gain a pound a week between now and the next appt, or some unspecified but dire consequence will befall me.
My best friend had the same issue with her recent pregnancy with twins. And she was all "WTF!? ME having a problem gaining weight?!?" I don't think she ever put on as much as her doctor would have liked. The last couple of months she just had a hard time eating anything at all without getting major indegestion. But I'll ask her if she worked out something to eat that helped with the weight and didn't cause other problems.
Oh and her babies were 6 1/2 weeks early but totally healthy and are gaining like champs now 2+ months along. Here are some recent pictures of them with various ladies in their lives! (auntly & new camera!!! bragging)
