It sounds like things are getting worked out, Nora - I hope so, anyway.
I am gronking a mighty gronk. Yesterday I got bit by some anonymous insect (or possibly
spider
) on my cheek down by the jaw. It swelled up quite a bit, and my whole face felt huge. I slathered on some aloe gel mixed with green tea leaves for a bit of a poultice over night, and this morning applied honey to it. It feels much, much better than it last night. Still, big honking red sore on face, ick.
Oh, good. You'll be glad to have the pump. You probably won't need it all that often, but the times you do, you'll find it priceless.
My first thought: "It was flying?"
Then I pictured a gas cloud firing missiles at the volcano.
Yeah, that was my first or second reaction (I forget). In any event, I had to read the headline twice and then think about it for a bit.
::eats, shoots and leaves::
So why must DH give me a reason to be annoyed somewhere in the 24 hours before he leaves for a trip.
I'm not missing it this time. It would take the ebola virus for me to miss this.
I'll hold you to that. I mean, not to an ebola virus, because that would just be wrong.
sump pump has been installed and is pumping. Since the water is not flowing toward it after the initial part of the draining process, Tom and my neighbor are helpfully shoving water toward it.
Still getting our airport pickup at noon. Flight to San Francisco at 2:35pm seems to still be on time.
When we return, we will have the plumbers install it permanantly in the ground. Today, they're all about the set up to drain the immediate issue and move on to the next customer. Plumb and move on, plumb and move on.
I just checked K-Bug's softball schedule to see if that Seattle tournament was August. It is, but the wrong dates to see bt again, drat it.
Should not be in here - too much work.
Just overheard at work - "That wizard gives bad advice. Don't pay attention."
I hate it when Wizards go bad.
Nora, I'm glad you've got the basement issue mostly cleared up. Nothing can stand in the way of my hugging you! mwah hah, etc.
I'm supposed to be finishing up work. Am instead fussing over packing and what to wear to Prom. It'll be very not formal, but comfy and pretty (I hope) and I guess that's good enough.
