Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

sump pump has been installed and is pumping. Since the water is not flowing toward it after the initial part of the draining process, Tom and my neighbor are helpfully shoving water toward it.

Still getting our airport pickup at noon. Flight to San Francisco at 2:35pm seems to still be on time.

When we return, we will have the plumbers install it permanantly in the ground. Today, they're all about the set up to drain the immediate issue and move on to the next customer. Plumb and move on, plumb and move on.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Should not be in here - too much work.

Just overheard at work - "That wizard gives bad advice. Don't pay attention."

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Nora, I'm glad you've got the basement issue mostly cleared up. Nothing can stand in the way of my hugging you! mwah hah, etc.

I'm supposed to be finishing up work. Am instead fussing over packing and what to wear to Prom. It'll be very not formal, but comfy and pretty (I hope) and I guess that's good enough.

I'm getting the pig!

Of course it's "good enough", Deena. Any outfit with you in it will be prom-worthy.

Nora, so glad you were able to get things taken care of before leaving town. Small blessings.

I want to be at home. Packing or not. I just don't want to be at work today.

Greg asked Kara and Aidan, Nick (I do that to his face, too) at dinner last night, to go around and talk about why I'm an exceptional mom. Until then, I didn't know I could get stairwell needy with family.

Edited to deleted the overwrought.

I want to be at Nicole's home, too. Definitely. No work, all play. I'm afraid to start packing. Once I start, the whole damn house is going to end up in the suitcase, I know it.

Was this a cute Mother's Day thing or was he trying to make sure you come back from SF?

I think I'll try to start packing tonight. I don't want to forget the stuff I'm bringing for other people (F2F swag impulse buys) so I'll at least get that in the suitcase asap.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Does this mean you're offering a place to stay?

This, sadly, depends on how much work we've managed to get done in the house and basement by August. (Right now, the spare bed is a storage platform.)
