Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I am there. Are there specific dates yet?

Not concrete, but - and here's my latest crazy idea - how about I fly into Portland from SF on, say, the 23rd, we drive up to Seattle the next day, and I fly out of Seattle on the 25th?

Seattle in August is VERY NICE. ALL MUST COME.

Does this mean you're offering a place to stay?

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Fair enough. Still, you are soooo being press-ganged into Pooh reading cos we need some extra British accents in there.

British accents I can do! Go me!

Skipping like a mad thing to say that I have a collected Pooh and would be glad to bring it along to the F2F.

Go you!

Erika - LOVE the hair. And this is just a lovely picture altogether.

Last night I learned how to make sheesha. It was this whole Yoda thing with my flatmate being the sheesha master and me the sheesha padawan. Tonight I'm having a crack All By My Self.

Yesterday I made cappucino sheesha, and it was jolly good, if I say so myself. We sat and smoked sheesha, and watched Smallville season 1 (Jitters) and season 2 (Red), and I drank Kahlua and diet coke, and there was cheesecake.

It was fabulous.

Absolutely.

The world's most comfortable futon is all repaired even.

Well, hooray for futons!

Blood, sweat, tears and the most amazing hardware store all contributed. More tears than I would like to admit actually. But it was worth it because now I can have guests. And, well, the super comfy futon.

Next question in assembling my nefarious plan: how hard is it to get to San Jose airport from SF? Flights to Portland are cheaper from San Jose.

Ask me next week. I am flying into San Jose for the F2F. All reports are that it isn't difficult with public transportation though.

Mostly lurking...

Ugh. Nora, I hope things are looking better this morning.

I am currently writing a "response" e-mail to my parents about the negotiation phase we're in. I'm afraid this isn't going to be pretty.

Billytea, it is fairly easy. Caltrain runs between the two cities, and there is a free shuttle that runs between the Santa Clara Caltrain station and the San Jose airport. From the Caltrain FAQ, [link]

10. At what Caltrain station can I connect to San Jose Airport?
VTA SJC Airport Flyer (Route 10) takes you between the Santa Clara Caltrain Station and the San Jose International Airport. The Airport Flyer is free and operates seven-days-a week from 5:30 a.m. until midnight. Buses operate every 10 minutes on weekdays and every 15 minutes on weekends.
